Components

The box contains 4 large cards that act as a game board and a total of 78 cards divided into the following types (note: the game includes 2 blank cards so that you can create your own action cards and customise your game):

Pets (Mascotas): Hamster x2, Dog (Perro) x2, Fish (Pez) x2, Turtle (Tortuga) x2.

Care (Cuidados): Grooming (Aseo) x8, Home (Casa) x8, Food (Comida) x8, Play (Juego) x8.

States (Estados): Sick (Enferma) x5, Healthy (Sana) x5, Angry (Enfadada) x5, Happy (Alegre) x5.

Actions (Acciones): Mischievous Kid x4, Police Officer x4, Pet Shop x4, Mad Scientist x3, Tornado x3.

Object of the Game

To win you must get the large card of your target pet that is face up to have, on your turn, the necessary care in each of its corners (each pet has its own specific care cards). In addition to being well cared for, you will need your pet not to be in the angry or sick state.

Setup

Shuffle the 8 target pet cards and deal one to each player, placing it face down so that only that player knows which one they got. Place the 4 large pet cards on the table and all the cards forming a deck in the centre of the four. Each player will draw 4 cards and is ready to start the game. Right next to the draw deck the discard pile will be placed.

Game Turn

Each player must use one of their cards during their turn. With this card you can give care to a pet by placing it on the corresponding corner of the large pet card placed on the table, or else play state or action cards to improve the situation of your pet or worsen that of your rivals (these are placed on top of the large pet card). Then you draw a card from the deck to have four cards in hand again.

Considerations

  • Repeated care cards cannot be placed on the same pet. If a pet has food, food cannot be placed again.
  • If you want to play a care card on a pet that already has it attached, it must be placed directly on the discard pile located next to the deck.
  • State cards are not cumulative. That is, a pet that is sick cannot be given another sickness card.
  • You are always obliged to play a card, even if it means improving a pet that is not yours.

Tips for playing with children under 6

For children under 6 years it is recommended to start playing without action cards and to include them one by one in later games.

Description of State and Action Cards

The Flea (La Pulga) - Make pet sick: Makes the target pet sick. Or you can remove a Veterinarian card (cure pet) from a target pet.

The Veterinarian (El Veterinario) - Cure pet: You can remove a Flea card (make pet sick) from a target pet. Or place it preventively against future attacks.

The Cat (El Gato) - Make pet angry: Makes the target pet angry. Or you can remove a Cuddles card (cheer up pet) from a target pet.

The Cuddles (Los Mimos) - Cheer up pet: You can remove a Cat card (make pet angry) from a target pet. Or place it preventively against future attacks.

The Mischievous Kid (El niño travieso): Moves a state card from one pet to another.

The Police Officer (El Policía): The player swaps the cards in their hand with the target player. The player who receives the cards will play their next turn, therefore, with one card fewer, and will draw two cards at the end of the turn.

The Pet Shop (La tienda de mascotas): The player exchanges their target pet for that of another player. In the case of 3 or fewer players, it can be exchanged for one of the target pets that have not been dealt.

The Mad Scientist (El científico loco): Removes all the cards (state and care) that the target pet has placed, to the discard pile.

The Tornado (El Tornado): All players exchange their target pet with the player seated to their right or left, as decided by whoever plays the card.
