Three-Star Missions

The original missions in the Maquis box came in two difficulty levels, denoted by having one or two stars printed on the backs. These new missions are three-star difficulty, and as such more difficult than those previously printed.

Setup

In order to increase the difficulty of the game, you may choose at setup to attempt a three-star mission instead of the regular one- and two-star missions.

At step 8 of Setup in the rulebook, randomly select one three-star mission and place it by the right-hand exit at the top of the board, checking the card for any extra setup instructions you may need to perform. Then select one of the regular mission cards in the usual manner for the left-hand exit.

It's not recommended to play two three-star missions at once.
