Components
- A tilted playing board (schiefe Ebene) with five runways (Rollbahnen)
- 25 tokens in 5 different colours
- 1 cloth bag
- These rules
Goal
The tokens must be arranged in the five runways of the tilted board, sorted by colour side by side. One player causes disorder, the other must sort.
Setup
Set up the tilted board.
Put the 25 tokens into the bag and mix them well. Then draw five tokens blind and place them, in any order, one on each of the five runways (Abb. 1).
Gameplay
Player A may now move any one token on the tilted board. They place the token at the top position of a runway of their choice (Abb. 2). There is no obligation to move.
Now it is player B's turn. B draws one token from the bag blind and lets it roll into a runway of their choice (Abb. 3). B's aim is to create as much disorder as possible in the scoring rows (see Abb. 4).
Player A may then move a token again, and so on. Play alternates in this way until all 25 tokens have been placed in the five runways.
Player B tries to thwart A's plans, while A tries to sort the tokens in the scoring rows (Abb. 4) by colour. Player A may remove one token from any scoring row (the tokens lying behind it slide up), but must always roll it back in from the top of one of the runways.
When B has placed the last token into a runway, A may still make one more move.
No more than five tokens may ever be placed in one runway.
Scoring
All five scoring rows are counted separately and then added together. If a row contains 3 or more tokens of the same colour, player A scores that same number of points. If a row contains fewer than 3 tokens of the same colour, A scores zero points for that row. In the example in the rulebook, player A scores 12 points.
Further Play and the Winner
Now the roles are swapped. A draws the tokens from the bag, while B tries to sort the rows and score as many points as possible.
The winner is the player with the most points after 3 games (each player is 3 times Chaot, the one who causes disorder, and 3 times Ordnungsfreak, the one who sorts).
However, a player who achieves a MAKE FIVE wins immediately.
A MAKE FIVE is an optimal round (5 same-colour rows = 25 points).
