Lighthouse Rules

When playing with the Lighthouse, the rules of the base game apply with the following changes:

Setup

Each player additionally takes the Lighthouse card of their colour. It counts as a landscape card, but is set out separately from the other cards.

Gameplay

If card number 24 comes into play during the game, in the immediately following round the Lighthouse card is played instead of drawing a new card from the draw pile and placing it. The same placement rules as for all other landscape cards apply. If a worker is placed on the Lighthouse space, it counts as a Lighthouse keeper (Leuchtturmwärter). Afterwards the game continues as usual.

If card number 24 is the last card of the game or is not drawn at all, the Lighthouse card does not come into play.

Scoring

Lighthouse keeper

The Lighthouse keeper scores 1 victory point for each water space of each water territory adjoining the lighthouse horizontally or vertically.
