Scenario: Zombie Pillage

Setup line as printed on the scenario card: Zombie Pillage, Hero Starting Cards (1), Heroes Replenish. Turns: 13.

  1. As the start of the game, randomly count out 45 Hero Cards face down into a separate deck and set it near the Zombie Player(s). This deck is known as the Town Deck and represents the 'health' of the Town. The remaining Hero Cards form the Hero Deck as normal. Any cards discarded from the Town Deck are placed in the normal Hero Deck discard pile. When Searching, Heroes draw from the normal Hero Deck.

  2. The Zombie Player(s) immediately win if the Town Deck ever runs out of cards. The Heroes win by preventing the Zombies from depleting the Town Deck.

  3. Any Zombie Card that would discard cards from the top of the Hero Deck may instead target the Town Deck, but for each card that would normally be discarded from the Hero Deck, the Zombie Player instead gets a free Pillage roll (discarding a Town Deck card on the roll of 4+). Anything that would shuffle one or more cards back into the Hero Deck from the discard pile may instead try to shuffle them into the Town Deck (this is always Hero's choice). Roll a D6 for each of these cards. On the roll of 4+, it is successfully shuffled into the Town Deck.

New Zombie Cards

Zombie Pillage adds five Zombie Event cards. They shuffle into the Zombie Deck.

Trapped!

Zombie Event (Promo-022)

Play this card at the end of the Zombie Turn to choose a Hero and roll a D6. Immediately place that many Zombies from your Zombie Pool in any spaces adjacent to the chosen Hero (Limit one new Zombie per adjacent space).

Falling Darkness

Zombie Event (Promo-024)

Play at the start of a Zombie Turn to cancel any Hero Card that is marked Remains in Play on the D6 roll of 4+.

Closing In

Zombie Event (Promo-028)

Sacrifice: Remove 3 of your Zombies from anywhere on the board.

Choose a board section. Every Zombie on that board section may move D6 spaces this turn instead of their normal move.

Angry Dead

Zombie Event (Promo-034)

Sacrifice: The Zombie player(s) must discard a total of 2 cards from hand.

While this card is in play, any time a Hero loses a Fight, reveal and discard the top 3 Hero Cards. If this discards the last Hero Card, the Heroes automatically lose.

Remains in Play

Hysteria

Zombie Event (Promo-038)

Play this card at the start of the Zombie Turn on any Hero.

While this card is in play, cancel any Hero Event card played on this Hero on the D6 roll of 3+.

Remains in Play

New Hero Cards

Zombie Pillage adds five Hero cards. They shuffle into the Hero Deck.

Push Broom

Item (Promo-023)

Double-Handed

The Hero wins Fights on a tie.

As a Move Action, the Hero may shuffle up to 2 cards from the Hero discard pile back into the deck.

Endurance

Event (Promo-025)

PLAY IMMEDIATELY

Play on any Hero.

If canceled, any wound here is discarded.

Remains in Play

Printed stamp on the card: WOUNDED.

Courage

Event (Promo-031)

Play at the start of a Hero Turn on any Hero. Any time that Hero moves into a space with one or more Zombies, the Hero gets an extra Fight Dice until the end of the turn.

If the Hero loses a fight, discard this card on the roll of 4+.

Remains in Play

"Let's Rock!"

Event - Heroic (Promo-035)

Play on any Hero. That Hero now rolls an extra Fight Dice and any time they would take a Wound, roll a D6. On the roll of 5 or 6, prevent that Wound. Discard this card if the Hero searches.

Limit one Heroic card per Hero.

Remains in Play

Axe

Item - Hand Weapon (Promo-037)

COMBAT BONUS: If the Hero wins a Fight and the Zombie is Fended Off, roll a D6. On the roll of 4, 5, or 6, that Zombie takes a Wound.

Sacrifice

Sacrifice is a new game mechanic used on some Zombie Deck cards, and will be featured in a forthcoming full Expansion. For now the card "No...It can't be!" or "Risen From the Grave" gives a preview of this new mechanic.

Zombie Cards with a Sacrifice cost (listed in the grey bar) may only be played at the Start of the Zombie Turn. In addition, to play the card, you must be able to pay the Sacrifice cost listed. On the card, "No...It can't be!", the Sacrifice cost reads 'Sacrifice: Remove 4 of your Zombies from anywhere on the board.' This means that you must remove 4 of your Zombies and place them back in your Zombie Pool to play this card.

"Risen From the Grave" the Sacrifice cost reads 'Sacrifice: Remove 2 of your Zombies from anywhere on the board.' This means that you must remove 2 of your Zombies and place them back in your Zombie Pool to play this card.

Note: the two cards named in the wiki text are not part of this supplement. They are cited there as the preview of the mechanic.

Double-Handed

Source: Flying Frog Productions wiki, "LNOE Double-Handed" page (flyingfrogwiki.com, Wayback capture; last modified 12 June 2012). Text transcribed from the page.

Some Hero Items are labeled as Double-Handed.

Double-Handed Items count as 2 Items toward a Hero's limit of 4. If the Double-Handed Item is a Weapon, either a Hand Weapon or Ranged Weapon, then it counts as 2 Weapons. This means that the Hero may not carry any other Weapons at the same time because of the 2 Weapon limit.
