Object of the Game

Using cards, the players lay out a constantly changing labyrinth. Each player tries to lay his card so that a passage appears between two identical treasures (chests, dragons, ghosts and so on). In doing so, players take the treasure cards as a reward. The player who has collected the most cards at the end of the game wins.

Game Setup

The cards are shuffled and two are dealt to each player. Four more cards are laid in the middle of the table in the form of a square. The remaining cards form the draw deck and are placed face down. The youngest player starts.

Playing the Game

On his turn, a player performs the following actions:

1. Lay a card

At the start of his turn the player must lay one of the cards from his hand so that it lies right up against the cards already laid out, and so that at least one road shown on the newly laid card continues into a road on an already laid card.

Connecting treasures: Where possible, the card should be laid so that an unbroken passage results from the treasure shown on this card to an identical treasure already lying on the table. In the example on the following page, a passage appears between the crown on the laid card and the crown in the labyrinth. It does not matter how long the passage is or whether other treasures lie along the way. If the card cannot be laid in this way, the player ends his turn; if the treasures were connected, the lucky player may...

2. Take treasures

The player points with his finger along the resulting passage between the treasures and takes the card with the second treasure. It is set aside and counts for the player as one point at the end of the game. A treasure can be taken only if all the other cards remain connected to each other (touching at a corner does not count as connected). The card laid from the hand this turn always stays on the table.

Taking several treasures: Sometimes it is possible to build a path linking several treasures that match the treasure on the laid card. In this case they can all be taken, provided that the remaining cards stay connected to each other as described above.

3. End of turn

At the end of his turn the player draws a card from the deck. Play passes clockwise.

End of the Game

The game ends as soon as the deck and the players' hands have run out of cards. The player with the most points wins.
