- 4 crocodiles: 4 head pieces and 4 tail pieces
- 28 animal cards
- 1 large, beautifully illustrated die
Setup
Choose a crocodile, that is, one card with a head and one card with a tail. The smaller cards are double-sided. One side shows a middle piece of a crocodile's body; the other side shows a land, water or air animal. Lay all the smaller cards out on the table with the crocodile-piece side face up.
Play
The youngest player begins. Play then continues clockwise. On your turn, roll the die and follow the instruction for the face you rolled.
Roll a land animal
Green background: turn over one card and try to find a land animal among the cards on the table.
- If you succeed, you may use this card as a middle piece to make your crocodile a bit longer. Place it between your crocodile's head and tail.
- If you fail, turn the card back over, crocodile-piece side face up, in the same place where you took it.
Roll a water animal
Light blue background: turn over one card and try to find a water animal among the cards on the table.
- If you succeed, you may use this card as a middle piece to make your crocodile a bit longer. Place it between your crocodile's head and tail.
- If you fail, turn the card back over, crocodile-piece side face up, in the same place where you took it.
Roll an air animal
Dark blue background: turn over one card and try to find an animal that lives in the air among the cards on the table.
- If you succeed, you may use this card as a middle piece to make your crocodile a bit longer. Place it between your crocodile's head and tail.
- If you fail, turn the card back over, crocodile-piece side face up, in the same place where you took it.
Roll the face with all three animals
Dark blue, green and light blue sections together: you may take any card you like from the table.
Roll the laughing crocodile
Orange background: take any middle piece you like (but not a head or tail) from the crocodile of one of your fellow players.
Roll the crocodile with a toothache
Pink background: bad luck! Skip your turn; you have so much toothache that you cannot eat anything.
The Winner
The game ends when there are no cards left on the table. The player whose crocodile is the longest is the winner.
