You also need paper and pencils, plus a 5-minute timer (for example a smartphone or a kitchen timer).
Kneipenquiz – Das Original
If you own Kneipenquiz – das Original and have already played through all 750 quiz cards, take this supplement set and play the game using the rules of the original game.
Variant: Team-Power
Don't have Kneipenquiz – das Original? No problem. You can also play with the supplement set alone. To do so, place the quiz cards question side up in the middle of the table. Get the paper and pencils ready and put the timer on the table.
The more players you are, the better. Form teams of at least 2 and at most 3 players per team. However, each team may have no more than 5 players. Each team receives one pencil and one sheet of paper. The teams play against each other and at the same time. The game runs over 5 rounds of 5 minutes each.
A player from any team draws the top quiz card from the stack. This player is the reader, and reads the questions aloud so that everyone can hear them. As the reader, make sure you hold the quiz cards so that nobody can read the answer on the back. Once you have read out the questions, set the timer to 5 minutes and start it.
Note: each team may make notes or write down the questions while they are being read aloud.
Afterwards, each team answers the questions one by one on its own. Agree within the team on a single answer and write it down on the sheet. Only this answer counts at the end of the round. But make sure the other teams do not overhear your discussions or see your answers!
When the time is up, the reader reads out the answers in order. Each team checks its answers. Each correct answer earns the team one point. Each missing or wrong answer scores zero points.
Note: your answers are correct if they correspond in meaning to the answers on the back of the quiz card. Passages of text that appear in brackets on the quiz card do not need to be written down as part of the answer.
Write the points down on your sheets.
Then a new round begins. A new reader draws a new quiz card, reads out the questions and sets the timer again.
End of the Game
Once you have played 5 rounds, each team adds up its points. The team with the most points wins. In case of a tie, there are several winning teams.
