Goal of the Game
Be the first player to collect 10 Cards.
Setup
- Give each player a Swatter. If it's your first game, put a sticker over the sticker icon on each of the Swatters.
- Place Jooky in the middle of the play area.
- Shuffle the Cards and place them in a facedown stack next to Jooky.
Note: we recommend giving younger players a head start.
- Age 6: start with 3 Cards
- Ages 7-8: start with 2 Cards
How to Play
Players are racing to win the Card by swatting either Jooky or the revealed Card to win the Card. Every round, a player reveals the top Card.
There are 4 types of Cards:
- Maze: Does Jooky have a path out of the maze?
- Hide and Seek: Is Jooky in the picture?
- Majority: Are there more cockroaches than there are sandals?
- Alive: Is Jooky alive? Be careful! This is a ladybug, not a cockroach.
For every type of Card, YES means: Swat Jooky! NO means: Swat the Card.
Playing a Round
In the first round, a player reveals the top Card and everyone races to swat the correct answer. As soon as someone swats something, the game stops. Check what you have swatted.
- You swat correctly: +1. Take the Card and place it in front of you. Congratulations! You're one Card closer to winning the game.
- You did not swat correctly: -1. Give one of your collected Cards to another player, if you have one.
If no one wins the round, the Card stays in the middle of the table. A player reveals the next Card and places it on top of the Cards from the previous rounds. Next time someone wins a round, they take all the revealed Cards.
Note: if two players are swatting at the same time and one of them did not swat correctly, that player must give one of his Cards to another player. The successful player wins the revealed Card.
The Next Round
To begin a new round, the winner of the previous round reveals the next Card and the game continues.
End of the Game
When you have collected 10 Cards, you win the game. Shout "JOOKY JOOKY!" and do a victory dance.
