Rule Card: Fearless Crew Mini-Expansion
Fearless Crew Mini-Expansion
Fearless Crew mini-expansion requires ISS Vanguard base game. This mini-expansion introduces new Section cards that can be unlocked. This expansion is compatible with all other ISS Vanguard expansions.
During each planetary exploration, place this card and all Fearless Section cards that were not unlocked yet next to the Planet board. Players may perform a Dice Check below only if their Section hasn't unlocked a Fearless Section card. When the last Fearless Section card is unlocked, remove this rule card from the game. The effect of the Fearless Section cards can be checked at any time.
Anytime during planetary exploration: Overcome Your Fears

Only in a Sector with [crosshair icon], [skull icon] or [ship icon].
- Cost: [dice symbol] + [dice symbol]
- Effect: Take 1 Fearless Section card (from your Section) and place it in your Section Compartment box. That card is considered unlocked from now.
Fearless Section Cards
The five Fearless Section cards share the same title, the same Dice Check ability and the same sacrifice ability. They differ only in colour, the top-left section icon and the bottom icon.
Printed text common to all five cards:
- Header: During a Dice Check: Discard up to 3 charges. For each charge discarded this way, add 2 [dice symbol] to your Roll Poll.
- Footer: Sacrifice this card to draw 1 card, gain 1 charge, Refresh 1 [cube icon] and draw 1 Lead of any type.
Fearless (purple)
- Top-left section icon: [purple concentric-rings icon], with [white chevron-in-hexagon icon]
- Bottom icon: [atom icon]
- Card text: During a Dice Check: Discard up to 3 charges. For each charge discarded this way, add 2 [dice symbol] to your Roll Poll. / Sacrifice this card to draw 1 card, gain 1 charge, Refresh 1 [cube icon] and draw 1 Lead of any type.
Fearless (pink)
- Top-left section icon: [pink chevron-wings icon], with [white chevron-in-hexagon icon]
- Bottom icon: [arrow-in-circle icon]

Fearless (teal)

Unexplained Icons
The printed text does not name these glyphs, so they are described rather than named: the [dice symbol] (a downward-pointing triangle with a line through it, used in the Dice Check, the Roll Poll and the Overcome Your Fears cost); the [cube icon] (a multicolour cube); the section and bottom icons on the cards; and the Sector icons on the rule card ([crosshair icon], [skull icon], [ship icon]).
