Game Components

  • 40 company cards (8 colors with 5 cards each: 3 drive cards and 2 target cards)
  • 9 floor cards
  • 8 pens
  • 1 lift card
  • 1 warning cone
  • 30 point markers (value 1)
  • 10 point markers (value 5)

Setup

Floor cards run E, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40.

  1. Each player takes 1 set of company cards of one color.
  2. Each player takes 1 pen.
  3. Lay the floor cards in ascending order in the middle of the table: from floor E at the bottom up to floor 40 at the top.
  4. Lay the lift card with the arrow pointing up next to floor E.
  5. Place the warning cone on floor 40.
  6. Lay out all point markers ready.

Game Flow

1. Choose Floors

Simultaneously, write a target floor on each of your two target cards. You may also write the same floor twice. Keep this information secret.

Pay attention to the stars at the top left of your target cards: for the card with 1 star you will later receive 1 point, for the card with 2 stars 2 points!

2. Move the Lift

Simultaneously choose 1 of your own drive cards (0, 5, 10) and lay it face down on the table. Then reveal all cards at the same time. Add the values of all cards and move the lift accordingly. Then it stops. It always travels in the direction in which the arrow on the lift card points.

Example: Your drive cards add up to the value 15. So the lift travels from floor 20 to floor 35.

Important: If the lift reaches floor 40 or E, turn the lift card around and the lift travels on in the other direction, until you have moved it as far as needed.

3. Receive Points

If the lift stops on a floor that you have written down, reveal that target card. (If you wrote it on both cards, reveal both cards.) You receive as many points as there are stars at the top left of the card. Afterwards, write a new floor on this card. You may write the same floor again.

Double points: Floor E and floor 40 double your points!

If the lift stops on the floor with the warning cone and you have written down that floor on a target card, reveal it. (If you wrote it on both cards, reveal both cards.) You receive no points, because on this floor there is a construction site. But you must write new floors on both target cards.

4. End the Round

Take the played drive card back. Then move the warning cone down one floor and begin a new round with step 2.

End of the Game

As soon as the warning cone has reached the lowest floor E, the last round of the game begins.

After the last round, each of you adds up your points. Whoever has the most points wins! In case of a tie, the winner among those involved is the one who wrote down the floor to which the lift would have moved first. Still tied? Then you share the victory!
