Components

  • 3 dice
  • 9 raindrops
  • 4 rainbow boards, each with 5 colored arches

Before the First Game

Carefully punch out the colored arches from the rainbow boards. Ask an adult to help you. You won't need the pieces marked with the trash can symbol. Please dispose of them properly.

Before You Begin

  1. Each child takes one rainbow board and places it in front of them.
  2. Place the five matching colored arches next to your rainbow board. Make sure the backs of your board and arches show the same pattern so everything will fit together correctly later.
  3. Put the raindrops in the center of the table and have the three dice ready.

Return any unused game materials to the box.

Game setup for 2 children (diagram caption).

Let's Get Started

Play in clockwise order. Whoever saw a rainbow most recently goes first.

On your turn, roll all three dice. Then look at your result and decide whether you would like to reroll one, two, or all of the dice.

What Do the Dice Show?

After your final roll, check the dice:

  • At least two matching color dots: Take the colored arch in the matching color and place it in the correct spot on your rainbow board.
  • At least two raindrop symbols: Take one raindrop from the center of the table and place it on an empty raindrop space on your rainbow board.
  • No pair: If the dice still do not show a pair after your second roll, you do not take anything this turn.

Then it's the next child's turn.

Trade Three Raindrops for One Colored Arch

Sparkling luck! If you have collected three raindrops, you may trade them in at any time during the game for one colored arch you are still missing. Place the colored arch right away in the matching spot on your rainbow board.

When Does the Game End?

The game ends as soon as one child completes their rainbow. You win, and Flip the squirrel and his friends are overjoyed!
