Gift card actions

Gift card actions (front of the rules card):

• Earn 1 VP.
• Perform the Travel action.

The front of the rules card shows an illustration of each gift card next to its action: the card with the mahjong box and the number 1 is paired with "Earn 1 VP.", and the card with the brush pot and the horse medallion is paired with "Perform the Travel action."

Variable value M

Both these cards have a variable value "M"; "M" is either equal to:

1. the number of cards in your hand, when this card is in your hand or on the game board (including this card itself).
2. the number of cards in your discard pile, when this card is in your discard pile.
