Setup

Each player receives one basket and a pawn in the colour of their choice. Place the pawns on the start space. Each player sets their basket down in front of them so that it is within easy reach.

Then place all the mushrooms at random into the holes designated for them.

Remove the animal tokens from the holes on the board. You may now insert them into the holes in any order. This way the game board will look a little different every time!

Rules of Play

The game is started by the person who most recently ate mushrooms. The other players take their turns moving clockwise.

Players take turns rolling the die and moving forward the number of spaces shown on the die. If there are mushrooms on the space where the player ends their move, the player takes them into their basket.

If the player ends their move on a space with an animal token, they perform the task shown for that animal:

  • Hare (ZAJĄC): move forward 2 spaces.
  • Wild boar (DZIK): move back 2 spaces.
  • Fox (LIS): exchange the contents of your basket with another player of your choice.
  • Wolf (WILK): place one mushroom from your basket (this may also be a fly agaric) back on the board. The chosen space must be located at least in front of one player. If a pawn of another player is on the chosen space, the mushroom automatically goes into that player's basket.
  • Woodpecker (DZIĘCIOŁ): take one mushroom from any place on the route.
  • Field mouse (MYSZ LEŚNA): swap any two animal tokens on the board. No player may be standing on the tokens being swapped.

Performing the task, like collecting mushrooms, is mandatory.

End of the Game

The game ends at the moment when one of the players, after passing along the whole route, lands on the start space again or passes it. Then the points are counted.

  • Edible mushrooms are worth 1 point each.
  • The fly agaric (muchomor) is worth -1 point.
  • The player who ended the game receives 1 point.
