Quick Start

1. Flip a card and think of a lyric with that word in.
2. Race to Grab The Mic.
3. Sing your heart out!
4. Score points and move up the gameboard!

How to Win

Be the first player to reach the WINNER space!

• 1 Gameboard
• 1 Foam Microphone
• 125 Word Cards
• 1 Mute Token
• 10 Player Tokens

Set the Stage

1. Place the Gameboard and Mute Token in the center of the table.
2. Shuffle the Word Cards and place them in a pile next to the Gameboard.
3. Place the Microphone standing up, within reaching distance of all players.
4. Each player takes one Player Token and places it on START on the Gameboard.
5. As you're reading the rules, you'll be in charge of flipping the Word Cards for the game.

How to Play

Each Turn

1. Flip a Word Card from the top of the pile so that everyone can clearly see the WORD.
2. The first player to think of a lyric from any song containing the WORD must grab the Microphone and sing it out loud!

If the Lyric Is Correct

Score the points on the Word Card by moving your Player Token that number of spaces up on the Gameboard.

Put the Microphone back in the center and place the used Word Card in a discard pile.

If the Lyric Is Incorrect

That player takes the Mute Token*. Put the Microphone back in the center for other players to continue guessing lyrics containing the WORD.

3. This is the end of the turn. Flip over a new Word Card to start a new turn.

Things to Remember

• You must sing at least one line from the song lyrics containing the WORD.
• The lyrics can contain a variation of the word, e.g. Word: WIN, Lyric: "The winner takes it all".
• The WORD doesn't have to be in the song title, it just has to appear somewhere in the lyrics.
• If no one can think of a lyric, skip the Word Card and start a new turn.

*Mute Token

When you have the Mute Token, you are frozen out until after the next round and cannot speak or sing! If you do, move one space back on the Gameboard. If another player sings an incorrect lyric they take the Mute Token from you.

Game End

The game ends when a player reaches the WINNER! space. Congratulations, that player is now the proud owner of the Grab The Mic Trophy!* (*We couldn't fit the actual trophy in the box.)

Finding It Too Easy?

Flip over the game board and try playing with these additional rules, depending on which space you're on:

• Solo Artists Only! Your lyric must be sung by a solo artist.
• Bands Only! Your lyric must be sung by a band.
• Full Volume! Stand up and sing it like you mean it!

If you don't follow these rules, take the mute token!
