Preparation of a Round

This game consists of several rounds. In the beginning of each round, each player receives 6 action cards (5x [Go] and 1x [Stop]) of the same player letter, and make his/her hand by the cards. (You had better to keep your hand in secret.) Remaining action cards are not used in the game. Shuffle all number cards and set the cards as a face-down deck.

Course of a Round

Each round consists of several turns. Each turn consists of the following three steps:

Step 1: Opening a Number Card

Open the top card of the deck. If it is the first card of the round, place it right of the deck. Otherwise, place it place it right of the number card placed in the previous turn, so that placed action cards make a line. If the deck is exhausted, then reshuffle discarded number cards and make a new deck.

[Example, step 1 (Turn 3): the deck, then 6, 10 and 1 in a row. Open a card and put it on the right-end of the line.]

Step 2: Each Player Plays an Action Card

Each player must choose an action card from his/her hand, and play it face down.

  • [Stop] means "I want to take the card just now opened", while [Go] means "I don't want to take it".

If you have [Go] only, you have to play it. After every player played his/her card, set all of them in a pile (keep them in face-down) and place the pile below the number card of this turn.

[Example, step 2 (Turn 3): each player puts a card face down under the row 6, 10, 1.]

Step 3: Scoring for the Left-End Number Card

When each player has 2 or more action cards in his/her hand (it means turn 4 or before), nothing happens in this step, so next turn begins. But if each player has only 1 card in hand, scoring for the left-end number card occurs.

Scoring

Open the pile below the target number card. If just one player has played [Stop], then the player gets the number card. Otherwise (when 2 or more players have played [Stop], or all players have played [Go]), no one can get it, so the number card is discarded. Finally, Each player retrieves his/her opened action card.

[Example, scoring, only one player has played Stop card: the row is 10, 1, 7, 9, 5 with players A (Go), B (Stop) and C (Go). Player B gets [10]. Other 4 cards are also scored and this round ends.]

[Example, scoring, other cases: the row is 10, 1, 7, 9, 5 with players A (Go), B (Stop) and C (Stop). [10] is discarded and round is continued.]

End of a Round

If no one can get a number card in step 3, next turn begins. But when someone successfully get a number card, then scoring for all other number cards also occurs. The way of scoring for each number card is as same as the way of scoring for the left end number card. After all scorings are resolved, the round ends.

Basically, the player who gets the highest number card is the winner of the round. But there is one exception: 1 beats 10. When someone has 10, 1 becomes the strongest card. So, for example, when player-A gets 1, player-B gets 10 and player-C gets 8, then the winner is player-A.

The Winner of a Game

Repeat rounds until someone wins 3 rounds. S/he is the winner of the game.
