Personal Quests

Each Personal Quest card lists its requirement and its own rules, followed by its Rewards.

01 Conquer Your Demons

Requirement: Prosperity 5.

They're real. You're certain: you can feel their claws scraping against the inside of your skull. It's time to regain control... but only you can conquer your personal demons.

Once per scenario, you may spawn a normal demon of a type of your choice in an adjacent empty hex. It is an enemy to you, and an ally to your allies and all other monsters. Kill 2 of each demon type spawned this way.

Rewards: Open a class or building envelope of your choice. Your future characters add [shield icon] 1 and [red icon] to any attacks targeting demons.

02 Your Friends Are Concerned

Requirement: Prosperity 5.

No, wait, don't open that door, we're not ready! We're in the middle of combat! "Reasons?" What reasons? Are you seriously looting right now?! You'll get yourself killed! You'll get us ALL killed!

Earn 30 checkmarks from Battle Goals (you may continue to earn checkmarks without available perks). At the start of each scenario, draw and keep an additional Battle Goal. Earn checkmarks as normal, but if you fail to succeed on all your Battle Goals, earn no checkmarks.

Rewards: Open a class or building envelope of your choice. You may permanently lose bonus perk marks earned from retiring characters in your lineage. For each perk mark lost, gain 30 gold to immediately spend on enhancements for your next character.

03 Consequences of Combat

Requirement: Prosperity 5.

The final "pop"—that's always the one that does it. It stains your clothes. It fills the air with a dishonorable tang of rust that settles on your tongue when you next inhale. Elegant attacks can finish the job, there's no need to explode their corpses in the process. Now if only you could keep your rage in check...

Once per scenario, prior to drawing an attack modifier card for one of your attacks, you may reduce your attack's value by any amount, down to a minimum of [attack icon] 0. For each point of attack reduced, gain one restraint. Gain 50 total restraint.

Rewards: Open a class or building envelope of your choice. Your future characters gain [blue icon] each time they draw a [null icon] during a scenario.

04 A Dramatic Conclusion

Requirement: Prosperity 5.

The big finish, where the hero rallies for a final display of power: that's what the people crave! They love a win when there's nothing left to burn, right on the edge of exhaustion. Your heart races. Do you have anything left to give? A bit of sandbagging, a few poor choices, and your fans get exactly what they want: a thrilling end!

Win 10 scenarios where you perform both a top loss action and bottom loss action as your last two actions of the scenario.

Rewards: Open a class or building envelope of your choice. Your future characters may immediately perform the steps of a long rest whenever an ally exhausts.
