Gameplay
Symbol Phase
- Available Symbols: In each round, the number on the Quota Card indicates the number of Geometric Tokens to reveal and the available symbols for each artwork.
- e.g. The Quota Card shows "4". 4 Geometric Tokens will be randomly selected and be available for drawing this round.
- Set unused Tokens aside.
- Available Strokes: The number on the Quota Card is also the maximum number of strokes allowed for each artwork in that round. Each stroke represents one geometric symbol.
Topic Phase
- Topic Check: All players draw 1 Topic Card and secretly look at the symbol side. Match the symbols (circle, triangle, square, star) to the four categories on the top of the deck to determine your topic.
- Decide an Answer: After determining the topic, each player secretly writes their answer on the back of their drawing sheet.
- e.g. "square" matches "FOOD". You decide to write "Donut".
Timing & Drawing Phase
- Timing: Set any timer (mobile phone, clock, watch...) for 2 minutes.
- Drawing Phase: Players pass the sheets around, check the answers, and take turns adding strokes to complete the artworks. The rules are as follows:
- Pick a Token: Starting with your own sheet, choose 1 Geometric Token and draw its corresponding symbol (see About Symbols).
- Each symbol counts as one stroke; for example, drawing a triangle may take up to 3 strokes, but it counts as one stroke.
- Pass the Sheet: After adding a stroke, pass the sheet to your left. DO NOT pass the sheet to the player whose name is written in the center.
- Skip the guesser when passing sheets around and continue drawing.
- Check the Answer and Add a Stroke: When you receive someone else's sheet, check the answer on the back, secretly choose one of the available symbols, and add one stroke to the artwork.
- Players may receive the same sheet multiple times and have added multiple strokes.
- Stop Drawing: Stop drawing and pass the sheet to the guesser if:
- The artwork has met the maximum strokes.
- The artwork looks complete and more strokes are unnecessary.
- Time runs out, everyone has to stop immediately.
Guessing Phase
- Guessers take turns guessing: The player whose name is in the center of the sheet is the guesser for that artwork. Each artwork allows up to 3 guesses. There is no turn order for guessing. Anyone can guess at any time during this phase.
- Correct Guess: The guesser puts their Topic Card under the Exhibit Card.
- Incorrect Guess: Cross out 1 of the 3 guess boxes on the sheet.
- When the guess is incorrect, you may choose to add one stroke and keep guessing.
- (Optional) Remove 1 Touch-up Card and ask the player on your right to add a stroke.
- The guesser keeps guessing. If all 3 boxes are crossed out, the guesser discards their Topic Card.
- Touch-up Cards: both sides available. Only 5 uses for the entire game.
- Example: Ann gets it wrong, but she uses a Touch-up Card and asks Ben to add another stroke to the artwork. Ben draws a letter S, which looks like a wave. Ann should be able to get it now, right?
- Repeat the guessing phase until you start a new round:
- Discard the top Quota Card.
- Flip all Geometric Tokens face down and shuffle them.
- Start a new round, reveal the next Quota Card and repeat the gameplay.
End Game & Winning Condition
The game lasts 4 rounds at most. Winning condition may vary based on the player count:
| Player count | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. correct | 9 | 12 | 15 | 18 |
| 2. incorrect | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 |
- 1. correct → victory
- 2. incorrect → loss
- For example: in a 4-player game, if the team guessed incorrect 4 times, they lose the game immediately.
- Everyone wins when you reach the winning condition. If you fail unluckily, why not give it another try!
About Symbols
- Triangle: You may draw a triangle of any kind, including a regular triangle.
- Circle: You may draw a circle, including an oval.
- Square: You may draw a four-sided shape, including a square or any other quadrilateral.
- Curved line: You may draw a curved line in any shape, but its two ends may not connect.

- Wave lines and polylines may not overlap themselves.
- You may use a letter as a hint, but not spell out the answer (e.g. PIG).
Learn Geometric Art in No Time!
Setup remains the same as aforementioned (check the front).
- Reveal Geometric Tokens according to the Quota Card.
- All players draw a Topic Card and look at the symbol side.
- As shown in the picture on the right suggests, match the symbols to determine your topic.
- Write down your answer according to your topic. Next, players will take turns drawing and guessing within a time limit.
- Your card shows "□", your topic is FOOD.
- When all players are ready, start a 2-minute timer. After checking the answer, add a stroke with one of the available symbols, then pass the drawing sheet to your left (skip the guesser).
- After adding a stroke, pass the sheet to your left. (Remember to SKIP the Guesser.)
- Repeat the same process and try to finish the artwork before time runs out. Complete 3 strokes and return it to the guesser.
- If you see your name in the center of the sheet, you are the guesser of that artwork.
Example
- Topic: FOOD. Answer: "donut". Ben gets the sheet with "BEN" on it, and easily gets the correct answer: donut!
- Topic: FOOD. Answer: "tapioca tea". Ann gets the sheet with "Ann" on it, and guesses "boba milk tea"! After discussion, everyone else agrees to count as a correct guess.
- Topic: SHINY. Answer: "banana". You get the paper with "You" on it, and guess: "banana"! So close! You cross out a box.
- You use one Touch-up Card and ask Ann to add one stroke to the drawing. Hmm. It looks like a face, so you guess: moon! And... that's correct!
Can you all reach victory together by the end?
