- [Shield icon with Defense] this symbol grants 1 Defense. When there is a conflict resolution, the player with fewer total Shields may add their Defense to their total count. If their new total is higher than their opponent's, the conflict result is a tie and no victory or defeat tokens are taken.
- [Crossed-swords icon with conflict-invincibility] this symbol grants conflict invincibility during conflict resolution. A player with this symbol cannot be defeated, but can still win the conflict if they have more Shields than their opponents.
- [Two resource tokens, arrow, one resource token] allows the player to spend the resources to the left to gain one resource of their choice.
- [Coin marked 1, with a 0 / 1 arrow pair] allows the player a commercial rebate and trade one resource for free with one neighbor of their choice each turn.
- [Coin between a left and a right arrow] grants the player 1 coin each time a neighbor receives coins. This is limited to one coin per neighbor per turn and is rewarded at the end of the turn.
