Objective

Be the first to accumulate the 7 required body parts, and then correctly call out a set of lightning to bring your Creature to life.

Setup

Place the components as shown in the setup diagram: the 42 Body Part Tokens are placed beside the Graveyard, and the 8 Dice are placed near the Graveyard as well. The player who can cry "It's Aliiiiive!" most convincingly goes first.

The Turn

1. Roll the Dice

Each turn, one player rolls the dice near the Graveyard (starting with the first player and continuing in clockwise order).

2. Call Out a Set

All players look for a set of one symbol to call out. A set consists of ALL symbols of that type. For instance, if exactly 3 dice show brains, and you want a brain, call out "3 brains!"

3. Dash to the Graveyard

All players are racing to be the first player to place a hand on the Graveyard. This is done at the SAME TIME as calling out a set.

4. Distribute Body Parts

Starting from the bottom of the stack of hands, verify each player's call. If their call was correct, and they still require that body part, they get one token of that type (e.g., 1 brain).

Continue resolving calls in this manner, until TWO correct calls have been made (or all calls have been resolved). At that point, the turn is complete, and the dice are passed on to the next player in clockwise order.

No Two Parts are Alike

If two correct, but identical calls are made, only the first of those two players gets the body part. Nevertheless, because two correct calls have been made, the turn is over.

No "Zero" Calls

Players cannot make a "zero" call (e.g., "Zero heads!").

The Leading Genius Rule

If a player has more body parts than any other player (ties do not count), then he or she must make the FIRST correct call to get a body part.

This rule also applies to ALL PLAYERS who have all 7 body parts (and thus only need lightning to complete their Creatures).

Winning the Game

Once a player has collected all the body parts necessary to make a full Creature, they must correctly call a set of lightning to win the game. As a courtesy to the other players, this scientist should utter a warning of their imminent success, like "My genius is beyond compare!"

The winning player is encouraged to lord his or her genius over the lesser mad scientists by crying "It's Aliiiiive!" followed by an evil laugh.
