Rules of Play
You will need 2 tokens of one color for the foxes, and 13 tokens of another color for the geese.
Fox Movement
Foxes begin by placing two tokens on any open intersections on the board. Each turn a fox may move from one intersection of lines to any adjacent intersection of lines.
A fox may jump over (capturing) a goose in any direction by jumping from one intersection to the next intersection beyond the goose following the printed lines of movement.
A fox can also perform multiple jumps in a row on the same turn if his first jump lands him in a position to capture another goose.
Foxes win by capturing enough geese to prevent the fox from being trapped.
Geese
At the beginning, all 13 geese should be placed on one side of the board on adjacent intersections. On the geeses’ turn, a goose may move to any adjacent intersection.
Geese win by blocking all further movement of the foxes.
Variants
Traditional versions have 1-2 foxes and 13, 24, or 26 geese. Experiment to find different balances of power. In many versions, the geese are always favored to win.
Components
The print-and-play sheet includes "Foxes" and "Geese" tokens to cut out, and additional geese tokens for the variants.
