The Card
The card is printed with two halves separated by a central fold line. Each half has the same layout:
- A number in a brown square at the top-left corner.
- A coloured banner at the top-right corner with a tree-type symbol in a white circle.
- An animal or bird type icon in a coloured square at the bottom-left of the name panel.
- The card name in the name panel, with a small number at its right edge.
- The ability area in the middle panel.
- The cost at the bottom, shown as a number followed by an acorn.
The card code "DP04" is printed at the top-right corner of the Willow Ptarmigan half.
Lambs
- Top-left number: 0.
- Top-right banner: blue, with a blue leaf-shaped tree symbol in a white circle.
- Type icon: brown square with a hoof-print icon (cloven-hoofed animal).
- Name panel: "Lambs", with the small number 1 at its right edge.
- Ability, as printed: an icon of a stack of cards with an eye and an arrow pointing right, followed by "3×" and the word "Sheep". The printed ability is the Sheep-from-the-clearing effect described below.
- Cost: 1 acorn.
Effect: Add a Sheep card from the clearing to your forest at no cost, without using its effect and bonus. If there is no Sheep card in the clearing, add up to 3 cards from the deck to the clearing and add a Sheep from there.
Points: 1 point.
The Lambs half carries no binoculars arrow, so it has no bonus.
Willow Ptarmigan
- Top-left number: 1.
- Top-right banner: orange, with an orange acorn-shaped tree symbol in a white circle.
- Type icon: blue square with a bird icon.
- Name panel: "Willow Ptarmigan", with the small number 1 at its right edge.
- Ability area: an orange binoculars arrow with a circular arrow icon. The circular arrow is the extra-turn symbol.
- Cost: 3 acorns.
Bonus (orange binoculars arrow): extra turn. The player takes an additional turn after this one, as described in the base rules for the bonus.
Points: 3 points.
Card Notes
- The Willow Ptarmigan's extra turn is the orange binoculars bonus. It applies only when the card is played and scored under the Forest Shuffle: Dartmoor rules.
- Transcriber note: the small number at the right edge of the Willow Ptarmigan name panel reads 1 on the printed photo, while the BGG item description lists 3 points for this card. The points line above follows the BGG description; the printed number on the card should be checked against the physical card if a discrepancy matters.
- The artist and photo credit printed along the card art is not transcribed.
