Game Preparation
- Place the game board in front of you with the classic side facing up (without dice on the spaces).
- For the first level: Take the blue -1/-3 tiles. Distribute the tiles on the track as shown in the illustration.
- You always play with the red pieces. Place one red piece on your A-square and the remaining red pieces on your B-squares. One of the red pieces is slightly larger than the others and has a different shape. You only need this one in certain levels.
- In the challenge booklet you will find further preparation steps and changes to the gameplay for chapters 3 and 4 for each level.
- Place a die ready.
Gameplay
Unlike the classic game Ludo®, here you play alone against the game. You make one move after another until the game is over. The following rules generally apply:
Occupying A-Space
If none of your pieces are on your A-space at the start of your turn, immediately move one of your red pieces from one of your B-spaces onto it (as long as there are pieces there).
Rolling the Dice and Moving Pieces
Roll a die and then move one of your pieces forward the number of spaces shown in the direction of the arrow on the track. You cannot let any dice rolls go to waste. Your own (and later, your opponent's) pieces can be jumped over. However, the occupied spaces are counted. If you have multiple pieces on the track, you can choose which piece you want to move.
Capturing Tiles
If your piece lands on a space occupied by a tile with the last step of its movement, your piece captures the tile. Place your own piece on the vacated space. What exactly happens to captured tiles is explained in the respective chapter. Your own pieces cannot be captured. You must then move a different piece.
Entering the Finish Area
Once one of your game pieces has completed the entire track, you move the piece into your finish area. Any remaining dice pips are lost. Any number of pieces can be in the finish area. Other players' finish areas may not be entered.
End of the Game and Scoring
The game ends when you move your last red piece into your goal area.
A score is then calculated. The exact scoring process is specified for each level.
Note: You can end the game earlier if it's no longer possible to change your score.
Challenge Booklet
In the challenge booklet you'll find a chapter overview, level descriptions, and space to record your high scores. Each chapter consists of several levels, all of which build upon each other. Play through the levels in order to gradually prepare for the higher chapters.
Below each level are the target points for Bronze, Silver, and Gold status. Enter your score accordingly. If your score is lower than the target points for Bronze, use the bottom row. Start in the first column. You can use the other columns for your other game results or for other people.
Recommendation: Try to reach at least Bronze status before attempting the next level. Of course, you can also play each level as many times as needed until you reach Gold status.
Of course, you can also just play for fun, without keeping track.
