Objective
Flitting Bad Wolf is a microgame of deduction and bluffing. Players try to get the most valuable cards while avoiding the visit of the Big Bad Wolf!
Components
- 8 Character Cards
- 2 Summary Cards
- 1 Rules sheet
Preparation
- Shuffle all character cards, and deal 3 to each player. Place the remaining 2 cards face down in the center of the table.
- Throughout the game, whenever you receive Big Bad Wolf or Shepherd Boy in your hand, you must shout out "HOWL~~!!"
- The player who had moved to a new place most recently starts the game. In the following rounds, the player with higher points starts. If tied, alternate the starting player.
Rules
-
On your turn, choose one of the two actions:
-
A: Play one card face down, and ask your opponent whether s/he wants to take it or not. If the opponent chooses to take it, place it face down in front of him or her; otherwise, place it face down in front of yourself.
- In any case, the card remains FACE DOWN.
- DO NOT change the order of the cards in front of you.
-
B: Play a card with a blue icon (see the card's symbol) face up, and activate its ability. Then, place it wherever indicated by the card description.
-
-
After finishing your action, the opponent may take his or her turn. If you have no card in hand at the beginning of your turn, your turn ends immediately. Players alternate turns until both have no cards in hand, and the round ends.
Count the points for each player: Flip over all cards in front of you, and add up all points on the upper-right corner. Add the total to your score and write it down somewhere. (Note: The points of some cards might alter when certain criteria is met.)
-
Check whether game end conditions are met. If not, the next round begins (starting from "Preparation").
Game Ends
- The game ends when any player has 12 or more OR -7 or lower points, or when 5 rounds are played. The player with the higher score wins!
Transcription notes: the rules sheet is a single page, printed in English by the publisher, Homosapiens Lab. The icon in action B is a blue symbol that is not spelled out in the printed text; it is rendered here as "a blue icon" and is not identified by name. The printed "bothhave" is rendered as "both have"; "criteria is met" is kept as printed.
