Setup
- Place a Big Button card face up in front of each player.
- Decide which reset effect card to use and place it next to the critic's choice card with its button side face up.
- Before creating the market, shuffle the platypus toon cards into the toon deck.
During Play
While playing with the Big Button 2 mini-expansion, players may flip their Big Button card face-down to activate its reset effect. The card's effect and when it can be flipped is dependent on which reset effect is in play. See the reset effect card for more details.
Solo Play
When using this mini-expansion, discard two additional toon cards during setup.
Toon Card: Platypus
The Platypus toon card is numbered 26 and is printed with fame 5. Its printed text reads:
- When hired, flip all Big Button cards face up.
- The two coins on the card read 5 and +3, with the text IF your big button card is face down beside them.
Reset Effect Cards
Each reset effect card has a front, which shows art and title only, and a back, which carries the rules text.
Reset: Grid
Card front: title "GRID" and the RESET button art. No rules text on the front.
Card back:
RESET: GRID
After the Check Fame phase, starting with the first player, each player in clockwise order decides if they want to use their face-up Big Button card.
All players who want to use their card simultaneously flip their Big Button card face down, collect the cards in their grid, add them to their deck, shuffle, and complete the Flip phase again. All players then repeat the Check Fame phase.
Reset: Market
Card front: title "MARKET" and the RESET button art. No rules text on the front.
Card back:
RESET: MARKET
During the Market phase, a player may flip their face-up Big Button card face down to shuffle all toon cards in the market back into the toon deck. Then refill the market.
This action must be taken on a player's turn before taking any market actions.
