Does the Shaman always start with the Shamanic Drum, and where does it go?

Question

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Drum (card 150) is the Shaman's item from the start, placed face up in a backpack slot at the bottom of the hero board. Like other items it can be lost or swapped. The focus tokens it holds are the black square tokens.
