The rulebook's optional Hardcore Mode only limits talking: strategy may be discussed in the Preparation Phase, and during the Action Phase only the active player speaks. There is no real-time limit on turns, only the limited number of rounds per combat. The publisher described a 3-minute Preparation timer for a Hardcore tier before release, but the final rulebook does not include it.
