Goal of the Game
Win the most cards.
Setup
Shuffle the cards and make a draw pile, face down, in the centre of the table.
Gameplay
A player turns over the first card of the draw pile and places it right next to the pile.
Then they invent a name for the character illustrated on the card. They are free to give it any name from their imagination. For example, they can draw inspiration from the character's appearance: Mister Watermelon, Cake Face...
Once they have announced the name out loud, their neighbour on the left plays: they turn over the next card and stack it on the card already revealed.
- If it is a new character: the player who drew it invents a name for it.
- If the character has already appeared: the first player who remembers its name and shouts it wins the whole pile of revealed cards. They place it in front of them, face up. In case of identical simultaneous shouts, the cards stay in place and it is the next player's turn.
NOTE: Sometimes nobody remembers the name of a character, even the one who gave it. Simply give it a new name!
Players continue to play clockwise. Each player stacks their won cards in a single pile in front of them.
End of the Game
As soon as the draw pile is empty, the game ends. The player who laughed the loudest and/or brought the most joy to the table becomes the favourite of the little characters!
The player who has the most cards wins the game!
For Even More Fun!
When the character drawn is identical to the one on top of one of the players' piles, each player may (it is optional) shout "FACE DE BOUC!". The player who does so wins the pile of revealed cards in the centre AND the pile in front of the player who had the same character.
- If several players had this same character on top of their pile, the player wins all those piles.
- A player who has the same character on their pile as the one drawn cannot shout "FACE DE BOUC!". They must find its name.
- Beware: shouting "FACE DE BOUC!" by mistake obliges the player to put ALL their won cards onto the pile of revealed cards.
- A player who has no pile in front of them cannot shout "FACE DE BOUC!" because they have no cards to give back in case of error.
Example
Players A, B, C and D sit around the table. The character drawn is the same as the one on Player A's pile. Players can shout its name or "FACE DE BOUC!" (Player A cannot shout "FACE DE BOUC!").
