Aim of the Game
Once upon a time there was a marvelous forest full of gorgeous fruits. These fruits came in vivid colors with the sweetest tastes. And the best part was the fruits could be squeezed and mixed into the most delicious juices.
You are animals living in this forest, searching for the most savory fruits. You find them with the help of friendly forest-dwellers. They give you fruits, trade them with you or help you in other ways. It is most advantageous to be the first at these locations. If you are already at a location, you get a fruit from the animals arriving after you.
You are greedy and thirsty. Who will be the first to satisfy their appetite for fabled juices?
This is a Fable Game
A Fable game is one where the gameplay changes over time. The first time you play, the game starts in its initial state, which is a relatively simple state. But as you explore deeper into the game system, the mechanisms and gameplay experience will evolve. You play the game many times, and each play changes the game slightly. However, the game is never permanently changed. At any time you may easily restart a Fable game from the beginning, either after you have run through the entire game system, or at any time during the multiple plays you will get from this game system. The Fable game will remain just as playable on the 20th play as it was on the first play of the game.
Components
- 240 location cards (4 each of #1 - #58, 8 of #59)
- 60 fruit cards (12 each of bananas, coconuts, grapes, pineapples, strawberries)
- 6 wooden animals & 6 animal tokens
- 1 wooden thief
- 5 fruit tokens
- 3 wild tokens
- 3 double turn tokens
- 10 fruit-mix cards
Each location card shows:
- the number of the location
- the title of the location (a short reminder of the action)
- a signpost (on some locations)
- the text box of the location
- the price for the Fabled Juice
Game Preparation
The First Game
- Open the 4 big card packs with the location cards. We will now call them locations. DO NOT SHUFFLE THESE LOCATIONS! All packs are presorted, so you only need to place the huge locations stack in the center of the table, with location #1 visible on top and #59 on the bottom.
- Draw all cards of locations #1 - #6 and place them in separate stacks next to the location stack. Each of these small stacks contains 4 cards all with the same location number.
- Shuffle all 60 fruit cards. We will now call them fruits. Deal 2 cards to each player, which they take into their hands. Place the remaining fruits in a face down fruit stack next to the huge locations stack. You will need some space for a discard pile.
- All players choose an animal piece along with its matching cardboard token. The game comes with 6 different animals, so you should have the opportunity to find your favorite animal!
- Place all remaining game components for the moment to the side: the thief, the 5 fruit tokens, the 3 double turn tokens, the 3 wild tokens and the 10 fruit-mix cards. They are all not used during the first game. You will play with them in later games, as new locations will show up. The glossary explains all the different locations.
- Choose a start player, who selects one of the remaining animals which will now be used to mark him as start player for the game. You are now ready to start playing!
How to Play
You take turns in a clockwise direction.
Each turn you must move your animal to a new location and use its action to collect fruits. If you have enough fruits in your hand, instead of using the action of a location you can buy it as one of the fabled juices. The player with the most fabled juices, when the game ends, will win the game.
Moving to a new location
On your turn, you must first move your animal to a new location. Place your animal on any available location.
If one or more of the other players are already located on the new location, you must give 1 fruit of your choice from your hand face down to each of them, which they take into their hands. If you do not have enough fruits in your hand for all players, you must give away all your remaining fruits but choose the players who will each receive a fruit. If you do not have any fruits left in your hand, you can move to any new location occupied by other players without giving them fruits.
Example: In her first turn, Anne placed her sheep on location #5. Now, she moves to location #4. Paul's turtle already stands there, so Anne must give 1 fruit from her hand to Paul.
Using the action of the location
After moving, you use the action as explained in the text box and title of the location. To start your first game, only read the rules of the actions for the 6 available locations on the front page of the glossary.
All these actions help you to collect a lot of fruits. There is no hand limit, so you can collect any number of fruits.
Example: On location #1, Rachel draws 2 fruits from the stack.
Buying the location as one of the fabled juices
If you have the required fruits in your hand, you can buy one of the fabled juices.
When moving to a new location, instead of using its action you can buy the available fabled juice. You must pay the fruits as shown on the bottom line of the location.
In addition to the 5 types of fruits, you may find smoothies as part of the price. These smoothies are wild, so for each single smoothie, you can pay with any type of fruit. A few cards have special prices, which are explained in the glossary.
To pay the price, you discard the required fruits from your hand, and take a location card from its small stack. Place it face down in front of you, so it shows the bottle filled with the fabled juice.
Example: On location #3, Camille decides to buy the fabled juice. She pays 3 grapes and 1 banana (her fruit of choice for the smoothie). Then, she takes the topmost location from that stack and places it face down in front of herself as her first fabled juice.
Whenever you buy a fabled juice, draw the topmost single location card from the huge locations stack. If it is the first card of a new location, begin a new small location stack for this location number. Otherwise, place it on top of the matching small location stack. Every 4 cards of the huge locations stack are incrementally grouped as sets of the same location. Each time a location card with a new forest-dweller enters the game, all players can now use this new action and/or buy this new fabled juice.
Example: Afterwards, Camille immediately draws a new location card from the huge locations stack. Since this is the first location #7, she begins a new small stack for that location.
If you buy the last (fourth) fabled juice of a small location stack, that stack is now depleted and the matching action is no longer available. If your animal stands on that depleted location stack, take it back in front of you and during your next turn move it again to a new location.
Winning the Game
To win the game you need to buy a certain number of fabled juices.
| 2 players | 3 players | 4 & 5 players |
|---|---|---|
| 5 fabled juices | 4 fabled juices | 3 fabled juices |
As soon as the first player has the required number of fabled juices, you finish the current round, so all players have the same number of turns. The player to the right of the start player receives the last turn.
The player with the most fabled juices wins the game. In case of a tie, the tied player with more remaining fruits in his hand wins the game. If there is still a tie, these tied players share the victory!
Preparing your next Game
To save the current state of the game, and prepare for your next Fable Game, you need to complete the following easy steps:
After determining the winner, place all purchased fabled juices back into the game box. DO NOT SORT THEM BACK ON TOP OF THE HUGE LOCATIONS STACK! We supply several plastic bags with the game, so simply place the fabled juices in one of the bags.
You will start your next game with the 24 location cards, which are currently lying in separate small stacks on the table! Usually, you will now have more than 6 small location stacks.
The loser of the previous game is the new start player and chooses one of the unused animal tokens as the new start player token.
Shuffle all fruits and again deal 2 fruits to each player. Check the available locations, and ensure you have all required additional game components which may be identified on these cards. You are now ready to play again!
If you want to play again on another occasion, simply place the 24 location cards on display in order on top of the huge locations stack, so you will draw them again when preparing the next game. Again, use the supplied plastic bags to secure that stack, so the cards do not accidentally get mixed up. If you want to play your next game with a different set of players, use the table on the back of the glossary to track the current 24 location cards, so you can later continue to play with the previous set of players.
Scoring several games in one session
If you want to determine the overall champion when playing several games in a row, we suggest the following scoring:
The winner(s) of a game get 2 victory points, the last player(s) get 0 victory points. All other players receive 1 victory point. Write these scores on a pad of paper and start a new game. The player with most victory points at the end of the game session is the overall champion!

The Fabled Fruit Glossary
This glossary explains all 59 locations and the rules introduced by their actions.
At the start of your very first game, you only need to reference the rules for the first 6 locations. Do not worry about all the other locations!
The starting locations #1 to #6
Location #1: Draw 2 fruits
Draw 2 fruits from the stack.
This applies to all locations: Each time you draw from the stack, cards are always taken into your hand. If the draw stack of fruits is empty and you need to draw more fruits, shuffle the discard pile and place it face down as the new draw stack. Then, continue to draw fruits.
Location #2: Exchange 1 banana for 2 fruits
Give 1 banana from your hand to another player, who must give you 2 other fruits from his hand.
If you have 1 banana, you must give it away. If the other player has only 1 fruit in his hand, he must give you that fruit. Of course, he can give you another banana!
This applies to all locations: You will often exchange fruits (or other game components) with other players. If a player must give away a fruit, he chooses the fruit.
This applies to all locations: The words "another player" means you cannot choose yourself while "any player" includes you.
This applies to all locations showing a signpost: If you cannot fulfill the necessary requirements of these locations, you must forfeit the action on the card and can only draw 1 fruit from the stack. Otherwise you must use the written action.
This means for location #2, if you do not have a banana, you can only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Location #3: Draw 1 fruit, then exchange 3 fruits
Draw 1 fruit from the stack. Then, choose another player, who gives you 3 fruits from his hand. Take them into your hand and return any 3 cards to the player.
You may give any fruits from your hand to the other player including the fruits he gave you. If all other players have less than 3 fruits, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack and do not exchange fruits.
Location #4: Offer 1 fruit to everybody
Place the fruits from your hand face up on the table. In turn order, the other players each may take 1 fruit into their hand. For each fruit taken you draw 2 fruits from the stack.
If you have 0 fruits in your hand, you can only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Location #5: Draw back to 3 fruits
Discard any number of fruits from your hand, then draw fruits from the stack until you have a total of 3 fruits in your hand.
If you have 3 or more fruits in your hand and do not want to discard any of them, you do not draw any fruits from the stack.
This applies to all locations: "Any number" includes 0.
Location #6: Take unique fruits
Reveal fruits from the stack until you either take all of them into your hand, or until you reveal 1 type of fruit twice. In that case, discard all revealed fruits.
You reveal fruits one after the other. Each time, after revealing a new fruit, you must decide to take all revealed fruits or to reveal another fruit. Both taking the fruits or discarding them ends your turn.
Now you can start playing! Only after drawing location #7 during your first game will you turn to the next page!
The locations #7 to #59
When you reveal a new location during your games, simply read only the rules for that location. Afterwards you can continue playing right away!
Location #7: Discard 2 pineapples, draw 5 fruits
Discard 2 pineapples from your hand and in return draw 5 fruits from the stack.
If you have only 1 pineapple or none in your hand, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Location #8: Exchange fruits with the market
Refill the market to 5 fruits. Then exchange any number of fruits from your hand with the same number of market fruits.
If you have no fruits in your hand, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
This applies to all market locations: When you draw the first location which requires a market, you prepare the market area. Draw 5 fruits from the stack and place them face up in a row next to the location stacks. We call these fruits market fruits. Any number of market fruits may lie in the market. If you take the last market fruit, or place it away so that the market becomes empty, you normally finish your action and afterwards refill the market to 5 market fruits. As an exception to this rule, there are a few actions like this one where you refill the market at the beginning of your action.
Example: Angelika places 1 coconut and 1 grape from her hand into the market in order to take the two bananas.
Location #9: Exchange 1 strawberry for 3 market fruits
Place 1 strawberry from your hand into the market and in return take up to 3 market fruits of other types into your hand.
If you have no strawberries in your hand, or if only strawberries lie in the market, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Location #10: Get 2 fruits from the richest player
1 player with the most fruits in his hand must give you 2 of them. He then draws 1 fruit from the stack.
This applies to all locations: When you move to this location, you first give fruits to the other players who already stand here. Only then do you check the requirement of the location, in this case who the richest player is. Thus you may get rid of enough fruits to be poorer than the other players. If at least one other player has the most fruits in his hand together with you, he must give you 2 fruits. If he has only 1 fruit, he must give it to you. If you are the richest player, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Location #11: Take 1 type of fruit from the market
Take all market fruits of one type into your hand.
You must take at least 1 fruit, so you may not choose a type of which there are no market fruits. If there is only 1 market fruit, you must take it and refill the market to 5 fruits at the end of your turn.
Location #12: Protect fruits
Place any number of fruits from your hand face down under your animal token; they are no longer in your hand. You may take all the secured fruits back into your hand at any time.
Only in rare situations is it important to keep some fruits in your hand instead of securing all of them. You may look at the secured fruits at any time. When you take the fruits back into your hand, you must take all of them, not just some of them! You may take the fruits back into your hand at any time, even during another player's turn. If you have no fruits in your hand, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
This applies to all locations: The secured fruits are not in your hand. You never count them when the number of fruits in your hand matters!
Example: Hedwig secures 4 fruits from her hand. She places them face down under her animal token.
Location #13: Draw 2 fruits, give 1 fruit to the market
Draw 2 fruits from the stack. Then place 1 fruit from your hand into the market.
You may place any fruit from your hand into the market. This is not limited to the 2 fruits you drew from the stack.
Location #14: Redistribute fruits
Each other player places 1 fruit from his hand into the middle. Add further fruits from the stack until 1 fruit is available for each player. Beginning with you, everybody takes 1 fruit into their hand.
You always place 1 fruit from the stack into the middle both for yourself and for each other player who has no fruits in his hand.
Location #15: As the poorest player draw 3 fruits
If you are one of the players with the fewest fruits in your hand, draw 3 fruits from the stack.
When you move to this location, you first give fruits to the other players who already stand here. Only then do you check who has the fewest fruits. Thus you may get rid of enough fruits to be the poorest. If another player has fewer fruits in his hand, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Location #16: Steal fruits
Move the thief to 1 new location. Draw 1 random fruit from the hand of each other player standing on that location.
When this location comes into the game, you need the thief from the supply.
According to the movement rules for the players, the thief must always move to a new location. You may move the thief to an empty location, but then you get no fruits.
This applies to the thief on every location: When you move to a location with the thief, you must first place 1 fruit from your hand into the market (the thief steals from you). If other players also stand on the location, they only receive fruits from you after you have paid the thief. Afterwards you can use the action of the location or buy the fabled juice.
Location #17: Collect fruits
Place 1 fruit from your hand into the middle. Each other player must add such a fruit. Then take all these fruits into your hand.
Anyone who does not have this type of fruit shows the fruits in his hand.
If you have no fruits in your hand, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Location #18: Refill the market and the fruits in your hand
Place any number of fruits from your hand into the market. Draw the same number of fruits +1 from the stack.
If you place no fruit into the market, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
The price of this fabled juice is 3 pairs of different fruits.
Location #19: Send the thief away, take 2 market fruits
If the thief stands on 1 location or next to 1 player, place him in the supply. Then take up to 2 market fruits into your hand.
Normally you take 2 market fruits, as long as there are enough available.
If the thief is in the supply, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Location #20: Gain protection
Draw 1 fruit from the stack. As long as you stand on this location, you do not give away any fruits from your hand.
If you stand on this location and another player triggers an action in which you would both give away fruits and receive fruits, you simply do not give away any fruits, but of course you do receive fruits!
Location #21: Isolate the thief, take 1 market fruit
Move the thief to 1 empty location. Then take 1 market fruit into your hand.
According to the movement rules for the players, the thief must always move to a new location. No players' animals stand on an empty location. Thus you can never place the thief on this location with this action.
Location #22: Take 2 market fruits
Take 2 market fruits into your hand. If only 1 fruit lies in the market, refill it to 5 fruits beforehand.
Location #23: Exchange all fruits with the market
Exchange all fruits from your hand with all market fruits.
Even if you have no fruits in your hand, you may take all the market fruits. In this case you must afterwards refill the market to 5 fruits.
Location #24: Take a fruit token
Take 1 fruit token from the supply. You may use it permanently for buying fabled juices.
When this location comes into the game, you need the 5 fruit tokens from the supply. You may choose any available fruit token. If none is left in the supply, all players must place their fruit tokens back into the supply before you take one. You do not take the fruit tokens into your hand. When paying for a fabled juice you use a fruit token instead of a matching fruit from your hand and keep it afterwards, so that you may use it to pay for several fabled juices.
The price of this fabled juice is 4 fruits of one type plus 1 fruit of any type.
Example: Nikki takes 1 coconut token from the supply.
Location #25: Buy a cheaper fabled juice
When you move from this location to 1 other location and buy it as a fabled juice, you pay 1 fruit of your choice less.
This action only becomes active at the beginning of your next turn, if you stand on this location. Thus it also applies to you if you bought fabled juice #25 at this location in the previous turn.
Location #26: Cooperate with the thief
Place the thief in front of you. Each time 1 other player buys 1 fabled juice, you take 2 fruits of the purchase price into your hand.
This action applies to you as long as the thief stands in front of you! You can only take fruits, but no fruit tokens or wild tokens with which the other player pays for the fabled juice.
Location #27: Take from the rich
Draw 1 random fruit from each other player who has more fruits in his hand than you. Afterwards all affected players draw 1 fruit from the stack.
When you move to this location, you first give fruits to the other players who already stand here. Only then do you check who has the most fruits. Thus you may get rid of enough fruits to be poorer than the others. If at least one other player has the most fruits in his hand, you must draw 1 fruit from him. If you are the richest player, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Location #28: Exchange fruit tokens
Exchange 1 fruit token with 1 other player. If you have none, or if nobody else has one, take 1 fruit token from the supply.
You determine both fruit tokens in this exchange, both your own and the fruit token you take from the other player.
Location #29: Draw 2 fruits for each grape
Place any number of grapes into the market. Then draw 2 fruits from the stack for each of them.
If you have no grapes in your hand, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Location #30: As the poorest player double your fruits
If you are one of the players with the fewest fruits in your hand, draw as many fruits from the stack as you already have in your hand.
When you move to this location, you first give fruits to the other players who already stand here. Only then do you check who has the fewest fruits. Thus you may get rid of enough fruits to be the poorest. If another player has fewer fruits in his hand, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
The price of this fabled juice is 3 fruits each of two different types.
Location #31: Exchange all fruits
Exchange all fruits from your hand with 1 other player who has at most 1 fruit more in his hand than you. He then draws 1 fruit from the stack.
You may also exchange fruits with other players who have fewer or the same number of fruits in their hand as you. If all other players have 2 or more fruits in their hand than you, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Location #32: Pass 2 fruits to the left
All players simultaneously pass 2 fruits from their hand face down to the left. Anyone who has fewer passes fewer. Anyone who has no fruit in his hand afterwards draws 1 fruit from the stack.
Pass the fruits face down to the player on your left, so that the others cannot see which fruits were passed on.
Location #33: Receive coconuts
Each other player must give you 1 coconut as a gift. Anyone who has none in his hand shows the fruits in his hand and draws 1 fruit from the stack.
If none of the other players has coconuts in his hand, you get no fruits at all. Tough luck!
Location #34: Take a double turn
Take 1 double turn token from the supply. You may use it at the end of one of your following turns in order to play a second turn immediately.
When this location comes into the game, you need the 3 double turn tokens from the supply. If none is left in the supply, all players must place their double turn tokens back into the supply before you take one. You may not use the double turn token in the turn in which you take it.
Example: Tanja takes 1 double turn token from the supply.
Location #35: Receive gifts when visiting
Draw 1 fruit from the stack. When you move from here to 1 location with other players, you do not have to give them any fruits; instead they each give you 1 fruit.
When you arrive at this location, you draw 1 fruit from the stack, or instead buy fabled juice #35 at this location.
The second part of the action only becomes active at the beginning of your next turn, if you stand on this location. If you move from here to a location with the thief, you take a market fruit into your hand instead of placing 1 fruit from your hand into the market.
Location #36: Draw 3 fruits
Draw 3 fruits from the stack.
Location #37: Steal 1 fruit
Draw 1 random fruit from the hand of another player.
You may choose any other player; they do not have to stand on the same location as you. If no other player has a fruit in his hand, you cannot draw one either. Tough luck!
Location #38: Distribute market fruits 2+1+1…
Beginning with you, once around the table: Take up to 2 market fruits into your hand. The other players each take 1 market fruit into their hand.
If there are not enough market fruits, the remaining other players receive no fruits. As described above for market locations, you only refill an empty market after finishing your action!
Location #39: Take a wild token
Take 1 wild token from the supply. In a following turn you may give it away as any fruit to pay for a fabled juice.
When this location comes into the game, you need the 3 wild tokens from the supply. If none is left in the supply, all players must place their wild tokens back into the supply before you take one.
Example: Angelika takes 1 wild token from the supply.
Location #40: Take the offer
There are always 2 fruits lying on this location. Take both fruits into your hand and then place 1 fruit from your hand back onto this location. Add 1 further fruit from the stack.
When this location comes into the game, you take 2 fruits from the stack and place them onto this location as the first offer.
Location #41: Wish for a type of fruit
Wish for 1 type of fruit and then reveal 5 fruits from the stack. Take all matching fruits into your hand and place the rest into the market.
If none of the 5 fruits matches your wish, you must place all 5 fruits into the market and get no fruits. Tough luck!
Location #42: Receive help, pay taxes
Beginning with you and once around the table: Everyone with fewer than 5 fruits in his hand takes 1 market fruit into his hand. If the market becomes empty, he draws 1 fruit from the stack instead. Everyone with more than 5 fruits places 1 of them into the market.
Anyone who has exactly 5 fruits in his hand neither takes a fruit nor loses one.
The price of this fabled juice equals the current number and types of market fruits at the moment you buy the fabled juice.
Example: Nikki wants to buy this fabled juice and must pay 2 coconuts, 1 strawberry and 1 banana for it.
Location #43: Exchange 1 fruit for 2 market fruits
Refill the market to 5 fruits. Place 1 fruit from your hand into the market and take 2 other market fruits into your hand.
If you have no fruits in your hand, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Location #44: Draw 3, 2 or 1 fruit
If you have 2 or fewer fruits in your hand, draw 3 fruits from the stack. If you have 3-4 fruits, draw 2 fruits. If you have 5 or more fruits, draw 1 fruit.
Location #45: Draw 3 fruits, discard 2
Draw 3 fruits from the stack and then discard 2 fruits from your hand.
You may discard any fruit from your hand. This is not limited to the 3 fruits you drew from the stack.
Location #46: Swap locations
Swap locations with 1 other player. Use the action of the new location.
If this action moves you to a location where further players or the thief are standing, you do not give them any fruits from your hand!
Location #47: Draw 2 fruits for each gift
Give each other player 0 or 1 fruit from your hand as a gift. Then draw 2 fruits from the stack for each fruit given away.
You decide separately for each other player whether you give him 1 fruit or none.
If you have no fruits in your hand, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Example: Angelika gives 1 fruit each to Nikki and Tanja, but none to Hedwig. She then draws 4 fruits from the stack.
Location #48: Gamble for the price
Reveal 4 fruits from the stack. This is the price for which you may now buy this fabled juice. Then discard the revealed fruits.
You may always buy the fabled juice for the normal price of 7 smoothies. If you decide to use the action and gamble, and then cannot pay the new price, you may not pay the normal price instead. That price only applies if you choose it directly for payment. Tough luck!
If you have only 3 or fewer fruits, fruit tokens and wild tokens in total, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Example: Hedwig gambles and reveals 2 pineapples and 2 bananas. Unfortunately she is missing 1 banana in her hand, so she cannot pay for the fabled juice.
Location #49: Pair of fruits into the market to draw 4
Place 2 fruits of the same type from your hand into the market. Then draw 4 fruits from the stack.
If you have only single fruits in your hand, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Location #50: Buy any fabled juice
From this location you may buy 1 fabled juice of your choice. If you choose fabled juice #50 at this location, you may pay part of the cost with 1 matching market fruit.
If you choose fabled juice #50 at this location, you may pay part of the price with 1 pineapple or 1 grape or 1 strawberry from the market, if available. You must pay for the other available fabled juices completely with fruits from your hand.
If you do not have enough fruits to buy 1 of the fabled juices, you show the fruits in your hand and draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Location #51: Take a fruit-mix
Take 1 fruit-mix card from the supply into your hand. If you later buy 1 fabled juice, you may use 1 of its two fruits for payment. If there is no fruit-mix card left in the supply, take 2 market fruits into your hand.
When this location comes into the game, you need the 10 fruit-mix cards from the supply. You may choose any available fruit-mix card; it counts as 1 fruit. If you pay with a fruit-mix, you discard the card together with the other fruits. Thus, after shuffling the discard pile, you may also draw fruit-mix cards from the stack.
Location #52: Stay alone, take 2 market fruits
Draw 1 fruit from the stack. If you stand alone on this location at the beginning of your next turn, take up to 2 market fruits into your hand.
When you arrive at this location, you draw 1 fruit from the stack, or instead buy fabled juice #52 at this location.
The second part of the action only becomes active at the beginning of your next turn, if you stand on this location.
Location #53: Take half of the fruits
Choose 1 other player, who gives you half (rounded up) of the fruits from his hand. You must then give back 1 fewer from your hand to him. Afterwards the affected player takes 1 market fruit from the market into his hand.
You may give any fruit from your hand to the other player, including the fruits the other player gave you.
Location #54: Take fruits from the middle
Place 1 fruit from the stack into the middle for each player. Take 2 of those fruits into your hand and the other players each take 1 fruit in turn order. The last one gets nothing.
Location #55: Discard fruits to take market fruits
Discard any number of fruits from your hand and take exactly that many market fruits into your hand.
If you have no fruits in your hand, you only draw 1 fruit from the stack.
Location #56: Draw 1 fruit for everybody
Draw as many fruits from the stack as there are players in the game. Then give each other player 1 fruit from your hand.
You may give any fruit from your hand to the other players. This is not limited to the fruits you drew from the stack.
Location #57: Distribute gifts
Each other player gives you 1 fruit from his hand. Then you give each other player 1 fruit from your hand in return.
You may give any fruit from your hand to the other players. This is not limited to the fruits you received from the other players. If 1 other player has no fruits in his hand, you do not exchange any fruits with him.
Location #58: Take the loyal companion along
Place the thief with you on this location. Each time you move on to 1 location, the thief goes with you. You may use the action of the new location twice.
This action applies to you as long as the thief stays with you! You may only use the action of the location twice, but you may not buy 2 fabled juices in the same turn!
Location #59: Draw 1 fruit
Draw 1 fruit from the stack.
In order to win the game, you must buy this fabled juice at least once.
This is the last location of the game. If you trigger the end of the game by buying a fabled juice and then bring this location into the game as a replacement new stack, you ignore the second part of the action and end the game as usual.
If this location is already in the game BEFORE a player triggers the end of the game, you must buy this fabled juice at least once in order to be able to win the game. Because of this you may have to buy more than the normally required number of fabled juices to trigger the end of the game.
Example: With 4 players you normally trigger the end of the game by buying the third fabled juice. If you buy this fabled juice #59 as one of those three fabled juices, you trigger the end of the game as usual. But if you first buy three (or more) other fabled juices and only then fabled juice #59 as the fourth (or even later), you only trigger the end of the game after buying it. Only a player in possession of one of these fabled juices #59 can subsequently win the game. Whoever of you has the most fabled juices, including the #59, then wins the game!
Keeping track of games with different groups
If you play with different groups, you can use the table below to note the locations and their number at the end of the game. This way, at the beginning of the next game you will always find the right locations for each group. As a reminder: You always play with 24 locations on the small stacks on display!
As an example, our group will continue playing with the following locations next time.
