ESSENtial Preservation of Endangered Species

Journal card. Cost: 6 Research. Scores 5 points.

When Acquired

  • Others: every other player advances their Reputation track two steps.

Activation Spaces

This card has two activation spaces, linked to each other:

  • Bottom-left (enhanced Dive): a Dive action, with a "+" and a teal token shown beside it.
  • Bottom-right (enhanced Conservation): a Conservation action, with a "+" and a grey disc shown beside it.

Between the two spaces is a link icon. When both linked spaces are filled, the link is completed and the player may perform another Conservation action.

Transcription notes

  • The printed text uses icons only, apart from the title and the "Promo Card Essen Spiel 2026" mark. The icon meanings above are read from the card image and agree with the BGG description of the card, which states that the card provides two activation spaces (one for an enhanced Conservation action and one for an enhanced Dive action), linked to each other, and that completing the link allows another Conservation action.
  • The "others" icon (a group of figures with an X) and the two speech-bubble tokens are read as "all other players advance their Reputation track twice", as stated in the BGG description.
  • The card is photographed with glare across the upper-left of the card face. The teal token in the Dive space is the least legible detail in the photograph; its identity is not stated by the card's own text.
  • Three coloured tabs run down the right edge of the card (blue, tan and green). No printed rule explains them, so they are not transcribed.
