Can I discard an Ancient Hive hex I draw when exploring?

The Explore rules let you discard any tile you turn over; the publisher rules on the Descendants of Draco.

Yes. When you explore, you choose to place or discard any hex you turn over, and nothing makes an Ancient Hive hex an exception. The Descendants of Draco are the one exception: they may not place a Hive with an Explore action and must discard it.
