Player Materials

24 Elder Stash Tiles.

Preparations

Shuffle the Stash Tiles face down (showing the round numbers). Take one random tile of each number and place them face down on the respective spaces (2-9) on the Round Track. Discard the rest without looking at them.

Rules

First player to pass in the Action Phase immediately draws the tile on the next round space on the Round Track. He resolves the immediate effect and discards the tile. The round then continues normally.

Tile Effects

The printed key on the rules sheet shows these effect icons:

  • Pink octagon +1: Take one Science or one Material (see the pink/brown pair below).
  • Brown octagon +1: Take one Science or one Material.
  • Orange octagon +2: Take two Money.
  • Orange square with two plasma stars: Place one Plasma Cannon or Positron Computer Ship Part. You do not need to have the respective Technology.
  • White +2 box (below the Plasma Cannon line): Printed below the Plasma Cannon Ship Part icon; the key gives no separate text for it.
  • Hexagon with three chevrons: Place one Tachyon Drive or Tachyon Source Ship Part. You do not need to have the respective Technology.
  • Arrow with the number 9 (below the Tachyon line): Printed below the Tachyon Ship Part icon; the key gives no separate text for it.
  • Two orange squares with plasma stars and a missile (Plasma Missile): Place one Plasma Missile or Gluon Computer Ship Part. You do not need to have the respective Technology.
  • White +3 box (below the Plasma Missile line): Printed below the Plasma Missile icon; the key gives no separate text for it.
  • Hexagon with a disc: Take a free Explore action.
  • White shield: Draw one Reputation Tile.
  • Two white shields: Draw two Reputation Tiles.

Note on the key: the printed key explains the pink +1, brown +1, orange +2 and the ship-part icons with text. The octagon colours on the other faces (pink +2 and +3, brown +2 and +3, orange +3 to +6) and the white +2 and +3 boxes have no separate text on the key. They are transcribed below exactly as printed; the colour reading (pink = Science, brown = Material, orange = Money) is inferred from the key entries above.
