What can you trade your deck cards for when an effect says to swap a card with your collection?

Any card you could have chosen when creating your Ranger: not a reward, not Expert (unless it comes from your own background or specialty), meeting your aspect requirement, and not already at two copies in your deck. The Kobo's Market style swap applies only to Gear, and it exchanges a single copy that you have in hand at the moment of the trade.
