How do attached cards behave?
The designer ruled on exhausting and moving attachments, and the rulebook defines Attach.
A faceup attached card is in play, keeps its text, can be interacted with, and its challenge effects resolve; a facedown one is not in play and loses its tokens. An attachment readies and exhausts on its own, independent of the card it sits on, so a ready attachment still fatigues you even if its host is exhausted. It cannot move on its own, only with its host, and it is discarded when the host leaves play, including when cleared.
