Flora and Terrain Cards

Each card below is planted into a tableau like any other Flora or Terrain card of the base game. Its printed ability strip is the only card-specific rules text.

Coral Charm Peony

  • Latin name: Paeonia lactiflora.
  • Type: Flora (type icon: [plant glyph] beside the name).
  • Habitats (top right): [sun icon] and [snowflake icon].
  • Soil cost (top left): 5, shown beside a [soil mound icon].
  • Base VP (top left): 4, shown beside a [leaf icon].
  • Sprout spaces: 3 (three boxes with a [leaf icon] along the bottom of the card).
  • Growth: maximum Growth 1 (shown inside the [growth ring icon] at the right), with a Canopy VP of 4 (shown on the [leaf tag] beside the ring).
  • Ability: the strip has three colour bands (blue-green, yellow and red), so it is a multicoloured ability. It reads: +1 [growth ring icon].

Icon note: the ability strip is multicoloured, so it triggers after the BLUE, YELLOW and RED actions, as set out in the base rules.

Oliver's Woods

  • Type: Terrain (type icon: [waves glyph] beside the name).
  • Habitats (top right): [sun icon] and [water drop icon].
  • Soil cost (top left): 6, shown beside a [soil mound icon].
  • Base VP (top left): 2, shown beside a [leaf icon].
  • Boxes: one box with a [leaf icon] along the bottom of the card, transcribed as printed.
  • Ability: the strip has two panels.
    • Green panel (left): +1 [card icon], with a [green plant glyph] at the left of the panel. This is a green ability; it draws 1 card.
    • Brown panel (right): -2 [soil mound icon] : +1 [card icon], with a [people icon] at the left of the panel. The first part is a negative cost and must be paid in full before the benefit is taken, as set out in the base rules.

Icon note: the [people icon] has no key in the photograph or the base rules, so its meaning is not stated here. It is transcribed as printed.

Northern Maidenhair Fern

  • Latin name: Adiantum pedatum.
  • Type: Flora (type icon: [fern glyph] beside the name).
  • Habitats (top right): [sun icon] and [water drop icon].
  • Soil cost (top left): 2, shown beside a [soil mound icon].
  • Base VP (top left): 0, shown beside a [leaf icon].
  • Sprout spaces: 6 (six boxes with a [leaf icon] along the bottom of the card).
  • Growth: maximum Growth 1 (shown inside the [growth ring icon] at the right), with a Canopy VP of 1 (shown on the [leaf tag] beside the ring).
  • Ability: the strip is a single blue band (the [water drop icon] at the left). It reads: +1 [soil mound icon] +1 [sprout cube icon]. This is a blue ability; it gains 1 Soil and 1 Sprout.
