How does the Shapeshifter's Mimic work?
The designer or publisher answered this directly on BoardGameGeek.
Once per turn it copies one ability of another of your Units, except Build, chosen fresh each turn. You copy a single ability, not a whole Unit, and you can use it even on an opponent's turn. The copied ability follows its normal rules (a Teleport still needs a valid Realm). Copying a Death Knight takes a snapshot of its Sword bonus at that moment.
