Goal
Guess which Crushes your friends like best in five increasingly intimate relationship Milestones. The player who knows their friends best wins the game and lives happily ever after with their Dream Crush!
Setup
- Each player takes a scoresheet.
- Write your name at the top of your Scoresheet. Write your friends' names in the top boxes in clockwise order starting with the player to your left.
- The player who last went on a date is the Starting Player. They select three Crush Cards from the deck and place them into the three Crush stands, then place the stands at the top of the Game Board.
- Shuffle each deck of Milestone Cards and place one Milestone face down on each corresponding square on the board.
- Shuffle each deck of Secret Cards and place one from each deck onto the board face down in front of each Crush.
Game Play
The game is played in five rounds. In each round, you'll pick the Crush you like the best, then you'll guess who your friends will pick. After you've made your selections, each player will reveal who they chose and why. Circle all correct guesses with a heart. The player with the most hearts at the end of the game wins! The most important rule of Dream Crush is to go with your heart! Of course, as in real life, this can change as you learn more about your Crush.
Steps in a Round
In each round, you'll reveal a corresponding Secret about each Crush before choosing.
- The Starting Player flips over the Milestone Card to determine what the specific circumstance is for the round. Imagine that all three Crushes could be experiencing that Milestone with you.
- The Starting Player reveals the three corresponding Secrets for the round. Each round reveals more about the Crushes' personalities.
- Choose your favorite Crush for that particular Milestone and write their name in the column under your name on your Scoresheet. Remember: Always be true to your heart!
- Next, guess which Crush the other players will choose for that Milestone and write the Crush's name in the spaces under your friends' names on the scoresheet.
- Starting with the player to the left of the Starting Player and proceeding clockwise, announce who you chose and why. Circle correct guesses with a heart as players reveal their chosen Crushes (excluding your own, of course).
The starting player rotates clockwise and the next round begins. As more Secret Cards are revealed, a more complete picture of each Crush will take shape, leading to some agonizing decisions and potential changes of heart as the stakes get higher in later rounds.
Get Inquisitive! Don't be afraid to press your friends on why they chose a certain Crush. Ask them for specifics on what happened with their Crush in the Milestone.
For example: "I can't believe you chose to dance with Jerry! What song do you dance to? Imitate how you think they dance."
Winning
At the end of Round 5, add your scores by counting the heart circles for correct guesses in your Scoresheet. The player with the highest score wins the game and the affections of their Dream Crush from the final round.

Variations
Is Love Blind?
Instead of placing the Crush Cards face out for all to see, place them backwards so only the names are revealed. Play the rest of the game exactly the same, except this time picking your favorite Crush based only on the Secrets you learn about them. At the end of the game, reveal all three Crushes and reveal who the winner ended up with!
Customize Your Game
Create your own Secrets using the included blank cards for each round and shuffle them in with the regular decks.
Long Distance Relationship
Long distance relationships work! As the owner of the game, you are the Game Master. Set up a video conference with your friends, have them make a scoresheet by drawing a grid on a piece of paper (or download and print a scoresheet for free at dreamcrushgame.com), and play the game as usual, using your phone as a camera to reveal the Crushes, Milestones and Secrets for each round.
