Rules
The game is played with twenty chessmen on a larger board, of 124 squares.
Outside of the movement and capture rules for the dragon, all other rules are identical to chess.
Dragons are the last in line, beside EACH rook, and have a pawn in front of them.
The dragon moves and captures in row (horizontal), column (vertical) and diagonal directions. Movement is limited by the following rules. The dragon can only travel through unoccupied squares. Dragon movement can be up to three spaces, in a straight line.
White player goes first.
Board Setup
(Diagram.) Each player's back row is, from left to right: Dragon, Rook, Knight, Bishop, Queen, King, Bishop, Knight, Rook, Dragon, with a row of ten pawns directly in front. The standard 8×8 chessboard is outlined in the centre of the board, extended by extra squares on each side; the four corner areas of the board are marked off and are not playing squares.
Dragon Movement
(Diagram.) A Dragon in the middle of the board may move to any square up to three spaces away in a straight line in each of the eight directions — horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
