Set Up
-
Place the Game Board in the middle of your play area so all players can easily reach it.
-
Create decks of Spice Cards, Tea Pot Cards, Pottery Cards, and Gem Cards. Set aside the Cobra and Genie Cards. Note: For a 2 player game: Remove 3 Spice Cards, 3 Tea Pot Cards, 3 Pottery Cards, and 2 Gem Cards.
-
Shuffle a Cobra Card and a Genie Card into each type of Product Card deck. If a Cobra or Genie Card is visible at the top of either deck, reshuffle that deck until a Product Card is visible. Note: There are symbols on the back of each card to assist in creating and shuffling decks during setup.
-
Place the card decks face up, on the Game Board from left to right. You should see their values increase from 1 to 8.
-
Roll the 14 white Price Dice and place 2 under the Spice Cards, 3 under the Tea Pot Cards, 4 under the Pottery Cards, and 5 under the Gem Cards into their spots on the Price Display. Note: When placing the Price Dice on the Price Display, arrange them by their numbers from smallest to largest. This makes it easier to read and Set Aside dice during the game. (See Fig. 1.)
-
Each player must choose a color to play with and take the matching 6 Player Dice and a matching Player Board.
-
To determine turn order, the player that has been to a bazaar, market, or grocery store last gets to roll first followed by the rest of the players in a clockwise order.
-
Each player places their Player Board under the Game Board starting with the first player followed by the rest of the players in a clockwise order.
How to Play
Roll Your Player Dice
Roll all of your Player Dice at the start of your turn. Try to match the merchant's Price Dice in order to purchase Product Cards.
Purchasing a Card
- If your Player Dice fully match the Price Dice shown under a single card, you can purchase that card by placing your Player Dice on your Player Board to show a sale. (See Fig. 1.)
- Place the purchased card in front of you.
- Move your used dice off to the side as they can't be used the rest of the turn. Note: You can only roll Player Dice once per turn, however, there is no limit to the amount of actions you can take.
Rolling the Merchant's Price Dice
If at any time a player purchases a Product Card, they must roll the Price Dice under that card. Place the re-rolled Price Dice back on the Price Display. If any dice that have been Set Aside by any players no longer match the Price Dice, they are removed from under the Game Board and returned back to the players.
Setting Aside Dice
During your turn, you may Set Aside any unused Player Dice on your Player Board as long as they match the current Price Dice under a Product Card. On your next turn, you will only be able to roll dice that have not been Set Aside. Note: You cannot roll, move, or relocate dice that have been Set Aside during your current turn. However, before you start your next turn, you can remove all of your dice under any Product Card before you make your initial die roll. You can remove all of your Set Aside dice but you cannot remove a single die from a group if they are under a single product card.
Trading Product Cards
At any time during your turn you can trade in an eligible Product Card using the symbols on top of the card. (See Fig. 2.)
- Trade in your card by discarding it face-down next to the Game Board.
- Rotate an unused die to a desired number. For Example: You can trade in a Tea Pot Card by rotating one of your unused dice to place under the Pottery Card.
Ending Your Turn
When you can no longer or choose not to purchase a Product Card, Trade a Card, or Set Aside any dice, your turn is over and play passes to the player to your left.
Game End
As soon as any one product is sold out at the bazaar, the merchant closes down the stand for the day. Players add up their scores by adding up the points listed on top of each Product Card. The player with the most points at the end of the day is the winner. Note: For a longer game: Play until two items are sold out at the bazaar.
Tie Breaker
In case of a tie, the player with the most Gem Cards wins. If there is still a tie, the player with the highest total of Product Cards wins. If there is still a tie, the player with the most Cobras wins.
Cobra Cards
A Cobra Card gets shuffled into each Product Card stack when setting up the game. If you can purchase a Cobra, at the end of the game roll a single die to determine how many points the Cobra will be worth. Note: You cannot trade for or with a Cobra Card.
Genie Cards
A Genie Card gets shuffled into each Product Card stack when setting up the game. If you can purchase a Genie, once per turn you can re-roll all of your un-used Player Dice. Note: You cannot trade for or with a Genie Card. Buying multiple Genies does NOT grant you additional re-rolls. However, you cay buy multiple Genies to block an opponent from buying it. Genies are not worth any points at the end of the game.
The Collection Expansion
Place the Collection Expansion Board to the left of the Game Board. At the end of the game, players get bonus points based on the icons on the crates.
- The player with the most Spice Cards gets 2 points
- Players with no Gem Cards get 3 points
- Players that have each type of product get 2 points
- Players with at least 5 Spice Cards get 4 points
Monkey Mini Expansion
Shuffle a Monkey Card into each Product Card stack and set aside the 4 extra Player Dice when setting up the game.
If you can purchase a Monkey Card, you can now roll a 7th Player Die on your turn. Note: You cannot trade for or with a Monkey Card. Buying multiple Monkeys does NOT grant you additional dice. However, you cay buy multiple Monkeys to block an opponent from buying it. Monkeys are not worth any points at the end of the game.
