Act I Quest: Crusade of the Forgotten

Play this card at the start of the Campaign Phase during Act I. You cannot play this card if the Interlude is an available quest. While in play, this card is treated as an available quest.

Citizens from the towns have been disappearing for weeks. Some tell of loved ones screaming and crying as they were dragged away by shadow, while others say that the victims simply said goodbye and walked off into the darkness. You have uncovered one thing they all had in common: they are all apostates of the cult of the Forgotten.

If this card is in play when you transition to Act II, the overlord gains the "Forgotten Sorcery" Overlord card. Then, place the "Shadowside Watch" Advanced Quest card in play.

Act II Advanced Quest: Shadowside Watch

While in play, this card is treated as an available quest. If this quest is available after setup of the Finale, the overlord may draw 1 Overlord card.

Despite your best efforts, the cult of the Forgotten continues to spread. You find their symbol etched into the back doors of taverns and scribbled candidly on the corner of official documents. Your best and only hope is to locate their leader, and defeat his evil by severing its head.

Shadowside Watch: Overlord Reward – Shadowside Latern

Shadowside Latern: Place this card in your play area. Exhaust this card when a monster with the Building monster trait is defeated. While this card is exhausted, each monster with the Building monster trait gains:

Shadow: A hero adjacent to this monster that declares an attack must spend 1 surge or the attack is considered a miss.

Shadowside Watch: Hero Reward – Disrupting the Darkness

Disrupting the Darkness: You may return this card to the game box before the Choose Monsters step of setup. If you do, the heroes decide which monster groups the overlord chooses for each open monster group used during the quest.

Overlord Reward: Forgotten Sorcery

Magic

Play this card when you activate a monster group with the Ranged attack type. Until the end of the round, each monster in that group gains:

Sorcery 2: After making an attack roll, this monster may convert up to 2 range to heart, or up to 2 heart to range.

Transcription Notes

  • The Shadowside Latern ability name is printed on the card as "Latern" and is transcribed as printed.
  • The Shadowside Watch quest text reads "defeat his evil by severing its head" on the printed card.
  • The surge and heart symbols on the cards are rendered as the words "surge" and "heart". The Forgotten Sorcery card prints the heart symbol and the word "range" in its Sorcery 2 text.
