Act I Rumor: One Man's Trash
Play this card at the start of a Campaign Phase during Act I. You cannot play this card if the Interlude is an available quest. While in play, this card is treated as an available quest.
Villagers whisper over baskets of laundry and mugs of ale about the Mabinogi branch. This blackened branch was supposedly taken from the Tree of Life, an ancient tree that could cure sickness and even resurrect the dead. Though lost long ago, the search for the branch has never ceased. The most recent rumors claim it lies in a kobold den, among the monsters' hoard.
If this card is in play when you transition to Act II, the overlord gains the "Hunk of Junk" Overlord card. Then, place the "Bonds of the Wild" Advanced Quest card in play.
Act II Advanced Quest: Bonds of the Wild
While in play, this card is treated as an available quest. If this quest is available after setup of the Finale, the overlord may draw 1 Overlord card.
At night, distant howls have begun to startle you from your rest. The Mabinogi branch has not yet revealed its secrets and no perceivable magic flows from it. With all of your research, you are able to uncover only a single recognizable location. One tale mentions Mabinogi crossing the river Zarseph in his flight from the tree's guardians. Perhaps you should start there.
Bonds of the Wild: Overlord Reward – Deep Vengeance
Deep Vengeance: During Setup of each encounter, you may place this card near 1 monster group with the Cave trait. Each time a hero ends his turn adjacent to 1 or more monsters in that group, that hero suffers 2 damage and 1 fatigue.
Bonds of the Wild: Hero Reward – Mabinogi Branch
Mabinogi Branch: Exhaust this card when a hero enters a water space. That hero may choose to recover either 6 damage or 3 fatigue.
This card does not refresh as normal. Refresh this card at the end of each quest.
Overlord Reward: Hunk of Junk
Trap
Play this card when a hero uses a Potion or Item Search card, before its effect is resolved. That hero tests Lore. If he passes, draw 1 Overlord card. If he fails, flip that Search card facedown without resolving its effect.
Familiars
Skye
Skye ignores the effects of terrain.
Each time a hero performs a Ranged attack that targets a monster adjacent to Skye, that attack gains +2 Range. After dice are rolled, you may discard Skye. If you do, that attack gains +1 damage.
Pico
During another hero's turn, if that hero is adjacent to Pico, he may search a search token in the space containing Pico (this does not require an action).
If Pico is in a space that does not contain a search token, place Pico on your Hero sheet.
Brightblaze
This familiar is treated as a figure. It may perform 1 Melee attack during its activation using the dice and abilities of a Magic weapon you have equipped.
Transcription Notes
- The scans carry no type line on the Act I card. It is transcribed as a rumor, following the card-type folder of the any2cards/d2e source.
- Icons are rendered as words, following the convention used elsewhere in this app: the heart icon as damage, the black drop icon as fatigue, and the open-book test icon as Lore.
- The familiar cards also print movement, health and defence values. These are not transcribed here, only the ability text.
- Not transcribed (disclosed gaps): the four hero cards, the three monster groups' stat cards, the familiar card backs, the rumor card back (art only), and the familiar tokens. Familiar rules in general, and the base game rules, are in the base game's rulebook.
