Aim
To be the 1st player to have all the game cards in their possession.
Preparation
Deal the same number of cards to all the players, face down.
How to Play a Round
- The youngest player turns over the first card in their pile (without showing it) and chooses a characteristic of their animal that they think is of high value. They tell the other players its value.
- The other players look at the first card in their pile and take turns to read out the value of this same characteristic (playing in a clockwise direction). The player with the highest value for this characteristic wins all the other players' cards and puts them face down under his or her pile of cards.
- The player who has just won the battle goes next. They choose a characteristic that they think is of high value and a new round starts.
Endangered Species
The cards are classified into 4 categories according to the threat level facing the species (or degree of rarity):
- Non-threatened species (green disk at the top left)
- Vulnerable species (yellow disk)
- Species in danger of extinction (orange disk)
- Species in critical danger of extinction (red disk)
During a round of the game, it is possible to change the battle characteristic if you have a card with a yellow, orange or red disk.
The player who wants to make this change must have in their hand a card with a higher priority than the player who chose the initial characteristic.
These cards' order of priority (from highest to lowest priority) is:
Red disk > orange disk > yellow disk > green disk
During a round of the game, several players can try to impose their favourite characteristic.
Italian section only (not in the English, French or Spanish text): "In the event of a tie between several players on the value of the characteristic, they must reveal the threat level of their animal, indicated by the coloured disk at the top left of each card. The player whose animal has the highest threat level wins all the cards of the round."
End of the Game
When a player has collected all the game cards, he or she wins the game. You can also decide to stop the game after 15 min (the player with the most cards wins the game).
