Drop Out

If at any time the player rolls a die and it falls off the playing surface: Whenever you notice something bright and colorful you almost feel embarrassed for it, like it's wearing the fashion of another era. The Earth is bleached and dead, and the more time you spend out in the wilds searching for some trivial scrap that will make life only moderately more sustainable, the more you feel like a fool. No more. Caring seems as passé as color, and you're done with it.

Option 1: "I'm going off on my own for a while. Whatever happens, happens." Take a survivor you control and shuffle it back into the survivor deck. Remove the standee from the board.

Option 2: "I need a break. Maybe it's time for a 'workplace injury'." Choose a survivor and roll the exposure die for them. The chosen survivor suffers the result. If the survivor takes damage but is not killed, shuffle its card back into the survivor deck. Remove its standee from the board and place a helpless survivor token at the colony.

Let's Settle This

If any player other than you accuses another player (even you) of being a betrayer or traitor, but does not call for an exile vote: "That's it!" he screams, throwing down his tools. "I've had it up to here with your crap! You're always questioning my every motive when all I do is work my butt off for this place. What is it you do here other than talk big? Well, screw this. Everybody gather 'round. We're settling this here and now!"

Only option: An exile vote is immediately held for the "accused" player. Treat this like any other exile vote. If the vote does not pass, place this card in front of the accused player. From now on, anyone wishing to call for an exile vote against that player must spend an action die of any result to do so.

I Ain't Dead Yet

If the player performs a search and at least three survivors have been killed: You fall on your side, your left arm pinned awkwardly underneath you. You scream at the explosion of pain from your elbow, but the dead child that ambushed you does not care. It crawls up your body, groans escaping its crusty mouth. You pull your arm free, but it is too late - the snapping jaws descend to your exposed flesh. But suddenly the zombie's head bursts open, splattering you in fetid fluid and corrupted flesh. Your rescuer stands above you and offers a hand up. You gasp, "You? But how? We thought you were... I mean... I saw you die!"

Only option: Choose a survivor that was killed and removed from the game. Add it to your following and place its standee at the colony. Gain 1 morale.

You Selfish Jerk

If the player attempts to end her turn without contributing to the current crisis: "Time and time again you fail to help the colony when help is needed most. Well, we're sick of your attitude and we're sick of your excuses. This is it! Help out or get out." Each player with 1 or more survivors at the colony must vote with a thumb up or down. The option with the most votes takes effect.

Thumbs up option: The player must contribute at least 1 card to the current crisis. If not, lose 1 morale.

Thumbs down option: All players must immediately vote whether or not to exile the current player. If the player is not exiled, lose 1 morale.

I've Suffered Worse

If a non-exiled survivor controlled by the player is killed: Just as they sadly turn away from you, you manage to croak, "Please... don't go." Your companions cry out in alarm, as they were sure you were dead.

Option 1: "We're so sorry, friend. I'm not sure how to tell you this, but your wounds are so grievous... we can't risk bringing you back. If you turn, the whole colony could be at risk." You nod your head. You'd do the same. You close your eyes as the pistol is leveled at your face. The survivor remains dead.

Option 2: You try to protest as they carry you back, but all that comes out are incoherent moans. Remove all wounds from the survivor that was just killed. Place its standee in the colony and roll the exposure die. If any symbols are rolled, treat them as a bitten result.

This Tastes Funny

If at any time any player takes a drink: Been a long time since you had a real drink, and you-know-who returned with a lovely bottle just yesterday. They kept showing it to you, but never offered to share. Typical! So you stole it when they left for the day. Serves 'em right, only now you feel sick and your mouth tastes like blood. Was it poisoned? Have you been set up?

Option 1: You brought this on yourself. The player that took a drink must choose a survivor he controls. Roll the exposure die 3 times, and apply the results to the chosen survivor.

Option 2: You wait for your poisoner to return and strangle them in their sleep. Sure enough, you find a small vial on them filled with a mysterious fluid. You drink it, praying it's an antidote. The player that took a drink must choose a survivor that they do not control. Kill the chosen survivor.
