Object of the Game

The game play and the object of the game remain the same as in the base game.

Setup

Each player takes one Magic Potion, one Magic Wand and one Nightcap and places them in front of himself. If fewer than four wizards are playing, the remaining items are not used in the game.

Enchanted Walls

In addition to the set of 24 ordinary walls in the base game, this expansion adds 8 enchanted walls. Their special property is that they open in only one direction.

Before the game, replace up to 8 ordinary walls with enchanted walls. When building the labyrinth, make sure that every area of it can be reached from all corners, and distribute the enchanted walls as evenly as possible. Note that using enchanted walls may lead to the appearance of dead ends.

The rules sheet shows an example labyrinth with enchanted walls. Its key illustrates an enchanted wall with an arrow pointing in the direction in which the wall opens.

Additional Actions

During your turn you now have additional actions available. Before starting your turn, decide whether you want to use one of your three magic items. You are not obliged to use magic items.

Each item may be used once, after which it is removed from the game.

Magic Wand

With a Magic Wand you may return the current magic symbol tile to the bag. Then you draw a new symbol. After that you may roll the die and move your character.

Magic Potion

With a Magic Potion you may move your character as far as you wish, until it either reaches a magic symbol tile or runs into a wall. In this case no die roll is needed for the movement.

Nightcap

Put a Nightcap on the character of any other player. That player must now skip his turn. Instead of moving, he may take the Nightcap off his character. You may not put a second Nightcap on a character that already wears one. After performing this action, you may roll the die and move your character.
