Be the first player to collect 6 cards.

Set Up

  1. Set out the shake-and-look box and spinner. Make sure the 5 puzzle-piece doors are in place.
  2. Shuffle the cards and put them in a stack next to the box.
  3. Shake the box side-to-side to make sure everything gets mixed up inside.

The youngest player goes first!

On Your Turn

  1. Flip over one card and put it face-up next to the box.

The face-up cards show things that all the players are looking for. During the game, there will be more and more face-up cards, so there will be more and more things to look for! Any player can look for any of the things on the face-up cards during their turn.

  1. Spin the spinner.
  • If it points to "Wave!" Shake the box side-to-side so everything gets mixed up. Then spin again!

  • If it points to any other space Look under ONE puzzle-piece door that matches a location the spinner is pointing to. For example, if the spinner points to a space showing two door symbols, that means YOU CHOOSE to look under one of those two doors, but not both. If you see things inside the box that match any face-up cards, take those cards. There is no limit to how many cards you can earn on your turn, as long as you find things that match the cards. When you're finished, put the door back.

Hint: During other players' turns, you should look in the box too so you can see and remember where things are!

Now it's the next player's turn.

Winning the Game

The first player to collect any 6 cards is the winner!

Note on this transcription: the printed rules show the spinner, door and box illustrations and a Winning the Game example diagram as pictures. The pictured spinner and door symbols are not named in the printed text, so they are described generically above. The "Look for these other Curious George games!" advertisement (Hide and Seek Zoo, Super Helper) and the copyright and licensing notice are omitted as not rules.
