Aim of the Game

Be the first to collect 5 marine animal figures or 2 treasure chest tokens by quickly finding the characters and things lost in the Coral Reef!

Setting Up

  1. Carefully remove the game board pieces, treasure chest tokens and lagoon boards from the cardboard frames.
  2. Choose which side of the game board to use. It is a little bit more difficult to find the lost things on the busier Coral Reef! Turn the pieces so that they all show the less crowded or busier Coral Reef. If a piece doesn't seem to fit, it's probably the wrong way up.
  3. Assemble the game board by attaching the game board pieces to each other in any formation you wish, but make sure that all players can reach from one end of the board to the other using both of their hands!
  4. Give each player a lagoon board and set any possible leftover lagoon boards aside. They are not used in the game!
  5. Shuffle the cards and divide them into two face down decks. Place the two decks, the marine animal figures and the treasure chest tokens next to the game board.

Now the game can start!

How to Play?

  • The youngest player goes first! They quickly turn the two top cards so that all players can see the pictures on them.
  • Now all the players try to find both pictures on the game board. The first player to do so shows it by placing one index finger on each picture on the game board.

You have to place both fingers at the same time – not one by one!

Hint! With 3 or 4 players you can play so that the player turning the cards does not participate in the round, and the winner of each round always turns the cards on the following round! This is a more fun way to play if somebody keeps finding the images before the others!

Be nice to the other players and keep your paws at a distance of the game board when looking for the pictures. No pushing and shoving allowed, either!

  • When someone has found the two pictures and pointed them out on the game board, that player gets a marine animal figure and places it on their lagoon board. If more than one player place their fingers on the game board at exactly the same time, no one gets a marine animal figure.
  • Now check if there is a treasure chest symbol on both of the cards. If there is, the winning player gets a treasure chest token as well as a marine animal figure! (See below)
  • The used cards are discarded and not used in the game again. Then the next player reveals the cards for the next round.

The Winner

The first player to have collected 5 marine animal figures or 2 treasure chest tokens wins!

Treasure Chest Tokens

Some cards are marked with a treasure chest symbol. If there is a treasure chest symbol on both of the revealed cards, the round being played becomes a Treasure Chest round. The winner of a treasure chest round gets a marine animal figure and a treasure chest token. A treasure chest token is more valuable than a marine animal figure.
