Components

  • Item cards x89 (15 each of Christmas Tree, Gift Boxes, Gingerbread Man, Reindeer, and Snowman; 14 Santa Claus)
  • Reference card x1
  • Rulesheet x1 (English / Chinese)

Setup

  1. Shuffle all Item cards and deal 3 to each player as their hand cards (kept hidden from other players). The remaining cards form a supply deck.
  2. Lay down 5 rows of cards on the table with 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7 cards in each row.
  3. The youngest player is the starting player and you are ready to play!

Note: In a 2-player game, remove one type of Item cards (16 cards) from the game.

Game Play

Players take turns in clockwise order. On your turn, perform one of the two actions:

A. Take one row of cards

  1. Choose one row and take all cards into your hand. The 1st row is free no matter how many cards there are. To take cards from the 2nd to the 5th rows, you must pay 1 card from your hand for each row you skip from the top.

Example: Pay 1 card to the 1st row if you want to take cards from the 2nd row. Pay 1 card to each of the 1st and 2nd rows if you want to take cards from the 3rd row. So on and so forth.

Note: There is no limit to the number of cards in your hand.

  2. Refill the chosen row with cards from the supply deck. Refill to 1/2/3/5/7 cards for rows 1~5.

Note: If the supply deck runs out, shuffle all cards in the discard pile to form a new deck.

B. Play cards to score Points

  1. Play one or more sets of cards from your hand to score Points. 3 or more cards of the same type can form a set. Score 1/2/3 Points for each set of 3/5/6 cards of the same type that you have played.
  2. Keep a number of cards from those you just played in front of you (facedown) as your Points. Put the other cards into the discard pile.

Note: If you have used any Santa Claus card to score, put them in the discard pile instead of keeping them for Points, if able.

Example: You played 3 Gingerbread Man to score 1 Point. You keep one of the cards facedown as your Point and discard the other two.

Surprise!

After you score, if any player has 2 or more cards of that scoring type in their hand, they must discard half of them! (Rounded down) Then, for each card they have discarded, you can draw one card from the deck as a reward.

Santa Claus

Santa Claus is a wild card. You can use it in any set of cards to score.

You can also play a set composed entirely of Santa Claus cards. When you do so, all the other players must discard ALL of the Santa Claus in their hands.

Game End

When someone scores at least 7/6/5/4 Points in a 2/3/4/5-player game, the game will end after the last player's turn.

When the game ends, all players have a final chance to play the remaining cards in their hand to score Points (no Surprise! during this process). Then, the player with the most Points wins!

If tied, the player with more cards in hand wins. If still tied, they share the victory!
