Aim of the Game

Who's best at keeping their eye on the kids' room and will collect the most objects?

Preparation of the Game

Place pixie Chaoty in the center of the table, within everybody's easy reach!

Shuffle the 48 cards and arrange them face down around the pixie.

Turn over any card.

How to Play

Play in a clockwise direction.

The fuzziest player starts. If you can't agree, the oldest player starts.

Turn over a card and place it on the table so that every player can easily see it. Be quick so that all the players see the card at the same time.

Now you all play at once. Compare the objects on the cards face up. Do you see two identical objects?

  • No, they are all different! Nothing happens yet. The cards are left face up.
  • Yes, the same object is represented on two cards. This means you have to react quickly! All players try to be the first to snatch the pixie in the center of the table. The player who catches him, immediately has to announce which object is represented twice.
    • Did you name the right object? Bravo! As a reward you take both cards and put them face down in front of you!
    • Did you name the wrong object or not even one? Or did you snatch for the pixie and there are no identical objects? Unfortunately you have to turn in one of the cards you already earned and place it into the game box. If you don't have cards yet to hand in, you are not allowed to snatch for the pixie when the next card is turned over.

Then it's the turn of the next player to uncover a card.

End of the Game

The game ends as soon as all the cards have been turned over. The players pile up their cards. The player with the highest pile wins the game. In case of a draw, several players win.

Variations for Professionals

When you have played the basic game several times, you can try the following variations which make the game more tricky and turbulent.

Except for the following changes, play according to the rules of the basic game.

Variation A: Chaotic Trio

You can only snatch for the pixie, if there are three identical objects among the uncovered cards. As their reward the quickest player takes all three cards.

Variation B: Chaos Times 3

You can only snatch for the pixie if the three objects on one card can be seen on three other cards. The snatcher has to place the pixie on the card which shows the three objects. As a reward they may take all four cards in question.

Variation C: Total Confusion

Snatch for the pixie when two of the objects on the card turned over can be seen on two other cards. But the third object, on the other hand, should not be visible on any of the cards. This time the snatcher of the pixie has to announce immediately the third object. If they are right, they take all three cards.
