Setup
Set aside the five Magic Power cards. Deal each player two cards face-down, and two face-up, then thoroughly shuffle the Magic Power cards back into the deck. The player who is wearing the greatest number of colors of the rainbow begins, with play proceeding clockwise.
How to Play
- You must keep your face down cards a secret.
- You can take two actions on your turn. (see below).
- Whenever Magic Power cards are drawn, they are placed in the middle of the play area with the top card from the draw deck placed next to it in a row.

- The Double Rainbow card is a wild card. It can be any color you want it to be, and you can change your mind at any time.
- At the end of your turn, draw cards to replace any you've played from the regular hand of four (two face-up, two face-down). Finally, add one Rainbow card from the draw deck in the row next to each Magic Power Card in play. If a Magic Power card has seven cards in the row next to it, all eight of the cards are removed from play.
[Diagram: at the end of each player's turn, another card is added to each Magic Power card row. Once a row has seven cards next to it, all cards in that row are removed from play!]
- When the draw deck is depleted, each player gets two more turns. The player who draws the last card gets two full turns in addition to the turn when the last card was drawn.
The Actions
Build the Rainbow: Add one of your cards to the current rainbow. The rainbow is built by placing cards in sequence (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet) in the middle of the play area. Only one rainbow can be built at a time. When possible, a player must use a face-up single color card to Build the Rainbow. Once a Violet is played, the Rainbow is complete and removed from the game. The group scores one Rainbow, and the process begins again with Red.

Swap: Swap two face-up cards, belonging to any of the players or in a row next to a Magic Power; or swap one of your face down cards with any face up card.
Good Karma: Play a card that is the same color as any one of the Rainbow cards in the row next to a Magic Power card, and place both cards beneath the Magic Power card. When there are no more cards in the row next to the Magic Power card, you earned the Magic Power. Take the cards beneath the Magic Power and shuffle them into the draw deck. A Magic Power can only be used once per game, and can be used at any time. You may keep the Magic Power card handy to help remember your magic power, but it is otherwise removed from play. You cannot use a Good Karma action once the draw deck is depleted.

Last Resort: Remove one of your cards from play and immediately replace it from the draw deck.
Wisdom & Lore
I. A player is not required to use a Double Rainbow card on the table to build a rainbow.
II. If a two player game is too challenging, try three cards face-up and three face-down.
III. You must Build the Rainbow from face up cards, beginning with the first card in the rainbow, Red.
IV. You don't have to play a face-down card to Build the Rainbow.
V. Each Magic Power card drawn begins a new row.
VI. If you draw a Magic Power card while adding cards to other Magic Power cards, that card does form a new row, and gets its starting card AND another card for it being the end of the turn.
