Game Components
- To play this scenario, you need all game pieces and cards from the base game and the Seafarers expansion.
Preparation
Put the game mat and all game pieces and cards from the base game and the Seafarers expansion on the table. Place the robber and the pirate beside the game mat. All of the base game and Seafarers rules apply to this scenario, with the following exceptions:
- The players must build their starting settlements on the 2 main islands. They may choose to build both of them on 1 island or 1 on either island.
- The robber or the pirate enters the game as soon as the first "7" is rolled.
- Each time you build your first settlement on an island where you haven't built a settlement yet, you receive 2 additional victory points. It does not matter if other players have already built on that island. Don't forget to add these points to your total victory point count!
Example: you have built your two starting settlements on the main island on the left. Using ships, you reach the main island on the right. You build your first settlement there and receive 2 additional victory points. From there, you reach the island in the top right hand corner. You also build a settlement there and again receive 2 additional victory points.
End of the Game
The first player to reach 13 victory points on his or her turn wins the game wins the game.
Note: the printed leaflet reads "wins the game wins the game"; the repeated words are reproduced as printed.
